Isaac Asimov would be disgusted that his book was destroyed the way it was. He was one of the godfathers of Science Fiction! He made the three laws of robotics, and Will Smith butchered them. It's wrong on too many levels... Perhaps it would've been better if I didn't come in 30 minutes late, though. But what I saw... NO.

I'll be on my own side.

i think a lot of people went to see the movie trailer, and then said"well as long as im here,i might as well watch the movie."

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

Try and rate the movie as a movie. If you rate it as a movie based on a book, then it will always suck, because movie-makers always do that to books.... The same thing happened with Frank Herbert's Dune... The movie and the miniseries all butchered the book pretty well, in my opinion.... but, as movies and miniseries, they were good.

I've never read "I, Robot" (wasn't it several short stories, not actually a novel?), but the movie turned out to be the second-best movie I've ever seen (the only thing that beats it is The Matrix).

aw come on, sure the books were really great, but the movie wasent that bad. And in case you havent noticed, alot of movies "based on books" (minus LOTR) really dont follow that well. Has anyone ever read the Lost World? that movie barely followed it

All movies about AI and the potential dangers/quirks that will come with them are always interesting to me... I, Robot, The Matrix, Blade Runner (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by P.K. Dick... haven't read that one yet, either)... all awesome.

Don't hate me for my new avatar, Barron.... I fear your wrath!

It's more like a "no thinking" concept.

I wonder if they're going to do the same with the Foundation series.

They're making Ender's Game into a movie, hopefully they won't -blam!- it up.

Really???

I just read that book last week, I loved it!

Do you know who is gonna play as Ender? He will have to go from age 6 to 13, that will be a little tough to pull off....

Plastic surgery! And a whole lot of little guys!

They're more likely to make it happen faster. Shorten the total ammount of time spent in the movie.

I found a website for fresco pictures who seem to be producing the thing, and the last update discussed who was writing the screenplay, that post was from back in January, so it may be a while before the thing comes around for real.
