If you think about it, why would it be called Halo?
From what people have speculated, there would be no Master Chief to play as and nothing else to require "Halo" to be in the name. It's not even in the story arc of the Halo games. Also, why would it be called Halo if there was no Halo to play on?
Now Halo 3: ODST falls within the time period of the Halo Game story arc, thus justifying the "Halo" in the name.
Just a thought. Please note that I am not suggesting Time Travel or otherwise, it's just a couple of things to think about and discuss.Halo 3: ODST is called Halo 3: ODST because it is an expansion to Halo 3, it is well before Halo 3.
Anyways, Halo 3: ODST doesn't have a Halo in it.
Halo: The Fall of Reach didn't have a Halo in it. (Unless you count the post-chapter)
Anyways, it is fair to say, Halo: Reach has "Halo" in the title because it is apart of a series. Why is "Call of Duty" called Call of Duty? Why don't they just call it, WAR. Because Call of Duty is a well known franchise.
Halo is also a franchise. Having Halo in the title will actually boost the sales.
