Well, I was reading that strange poem sort of thing, that is in the thread "Enkidu - Letters of cortana revised?" ( or something to that effect) And the poem seems to point me in the direction that a forerunner had written it. But as i was reading it for a second time, I looked to my title box and it had said "Do I have to draw a picture for you?" And it was then that i realized that the poem is set up in a format that appears a lot like guilty spark. Now my title box says "allow me to introduce myself". So it appears to change.
Now my question is this:
Why has no one ever suspected the fore runners to be like guilty spark?
I mean sure someone had to build the robots but who is to say that the little buggers (the robots) didnt revolt against their makers and start a new colony of their own? Halo.
Thus, the monitor and friends would be the forerunners of halo.
I decided to draw some paralells with guilty spark and the "poem".
"Once I was wild. Wild shall I be once again. "
Maybe this is referring to when his kind used to be "friends" with their creators?
"I was seduced into urbanity before I could discover better."
He was built and introduced into his creators home before he could leave and create his own "paradise": Halo.
"I was fabled before rings were."
He was built before the "Halos"
"I was epic before demons rode in the dawn sky."
His kind ruled before the Covenant came and took the ring as their own.
"I was myth before a sword awoke from a stolen rocky womb."
The index a sword or maybe even the flood was the "Sword", the army of the forerunner.
The flood was in a containment cell under the crest of halo's surface, in stone.
"I was sentenced into darkness before Theseus found his foe."
Maybe he was "locked up" and that is why the covanant hadn't discoevered him yet?
Who knows who theseus is though..
"I was killed before my home was scourged by western winds of war."
Maybe he wasn't killed, but his spirit broken from his destroyed home.
And I am unsure from what direction the autumn came from but the covenant may have chased us in an easternly direction?
"I transgressed in sacred orchards to serve the folly of a hero."
The hero may be keys or the chief. Either way one of them made the mistake of waking the flood.
"I called on kings and deities to account for their misdeeds."
Maybe after he fled halo during the explosion, He went to another ring and is gathering an army...
Yet another enemy for the chief... Good luck man.
"I set off an outburst that echoed through the ages.
That outburst echoes still.
It shall echo evermore.
AS SHALL I. "
He was the cause of halo's destruction, and is coming for vengeance.
"I roamed the forests as I wished after Enlil starved the gods. "
He was the only one left after the first(?) reclaimer activated the index. The first reclaimer being enlil? Starved the flood.
Or maybe he gave the chief a name: enlil?
"Once I was free. Free shall I be once again."
He longs to be alone again?
"a friend(?) of a friend"
The question mark has been inserted because the chief being trustworthy of guilty spark is questionable.
Since he helped him in a way but eneded up not helping him in the end.
Wow, that is a lot of typing...
