The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I think that since Halo Reach is prequel to Halo CE the music should be similar in a way, for me Halo CE still has the best music of the series. I really hope they return to their origins for their ''last game'' of the franchise. Since the music was an important factor in Halo CE.

I mean, this is Halo's true spirit,

How many of you remember playing Halo CE and listening to the music for the first time?. In CE the music had a purpose, i felt that it was lost with the pass of time with the sequels.

Discuss.

And another idea that would be great for Reach, since its the last Halo game, that Bungie made a Theater mode but with all the songs from the Halo franchise or atleast the most memorable ones.

Discuss.

It was posted, some where he on Reach Forum, a Bungie Employee, an important, i think it was Laars, said that after Reach, their done. And their moving on to a new IP. It was a report on IGN.com. But just look for it in Reach Forum or Ign.com

It's the last of Bungie's Halo titles though.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I disagree. Though Combat Evolved's soundtrack was amazing, I found Halo 2's OST to be the best. It is extremely varied and creates so much tension, especially in the mission Sacred Icon.

well, you said it.
halo belongs to MICROSOFT... and is CO-developed by bungie AND microsoft game studio.

I think it just means bungie moves on to new IP, but M$ keeps milking it's cow.

Yes Halo2 Soundtrack has some of the most memorable songs from the series but i mean in total, Halo CE has the best soundtrack, to me it was more memorable and well suited for the game then Halo2 soundtrack was for the sequel.

I'd definitely like to hear "Peril" and/or "Unyielding" in Reach. I don't know how they could make Peril apppropiate, but "Unyielding" would be very nice, IMO.

Peril.

Unyielding.

The song makes me feel like I'm sniping or in very deep enemy territory. Maybe there could be a mission where you have to infiltrate a Covenant camp, and this music plays? I'd find that awesome.

Halo 2 had an alright OST, but it sounded like some really weird upbeat remixes. Halo Combat Evolve had a specific ambiance of mystery that fit in properly with the game. Halo 2 is all action, with some emotion thrown in every once in a while. Halo Combat Evolved set the mood for everything from the weird electronics in the Covenant control room, to your first meet with the Flood, and downfall of poor Jenkins. Not to mention the screechy scream music for the Flood. The Flood just aren't the same in Halo 2 or Halo 3.

We need a Covenant Dance and Dead Heroes remix that is more memorable.

The Flood should have died with Alpha Halo.

Why? Because they ruined them in the other games, or because they were too hard and annoying to you?

All I know is that if they make a Halo movie, they better use the Halo 1 soundtrack.

And this:

The Last Spartan

Annoying, and terrible introductions.

In Halo CE the flood felt good there, but in the sequels they were ''extra'' to me.
