The Flood should have died with Alpha Halo.

Why? Because they ruined them in the other games, or because they were too hard and annoying to you?

Annoying, and terrible introductions.

Are the zombies in Left 4 Dead annoying?

Well, no; because the whole point of the game is to kill zombies.

No.

Halo had no pre-established point other than being a space marine. The whole POINT of the game was to look like a cliche' so something like the flood would catch you off guard. The only reason ANYONE would hate the flood as a concept is because they WANT halo to be just another purple Doom. They WANT it to be just another generic shooter. Weather or not Halo is a horror or a sci fi army game is not up to us. What the game is supposed to be is not up to us. Everything in the first installment of EVERYTHING should be taken with a grain of salt, because the cannon's never truly full until the very end of that first episode.
However, if they'd switched up the formula in Halo 3, they'd be much more acceptable. I want to see flood in bright day environments (or at least a place where there are trees), and I want to see covenant in dark misty environments.

As for the soundtrack. Needs more solo violin/cello like in the first game. The orchestra's scale seemed a bit too big in Halo 3. It was more re-verb than actual instruments. Some of the old synth stuff would be cool too.

I liked pretty much everything in Halo CE and Halo 2, but Halo 3 was comparatively sub-par.

That's the saddest part, it was probably the most expensive one. But if we're counting the ODST soundtrack as part of Halo 3's, than I will say H3's is in between H1 and H2.

BOOM DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should be changed to thrash metal or death metal.

I have to agree with this. Halo 3's soundtrack was, I don't know how to say this, soft. The music didn't have any effect on me, like it was just there just to be there.

BOOM DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like the theme to be a Death-Speed metal mix with a bass intro then to a guitar riff in the tune of high pitched E-flat.

that's called nostalgia dude, because Halo 3's soundtrack is better than halo 1 and 2, they actually used a live action band to record the music instead of just synthisizing it in a lab.

That's not nostalgia. Just because they used a real orchestra doesn't mean it's better, some of the greatest video game music was made with MIDI and chiptunes.

I have no signature... exept for this one...

I think Reach should have live orchestral music, not midi and more epic and "bigger" than the other games, a little orchestral-metal because you'll be fighting along with other Spartans. It really depends on the situation.
