Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Yes, it's another VSYNC thread. I just got a new video card, and now the mouse skips along instead of moving smoothly when I set video to VSYNC or 30 FPS. I tried disabling buffering via the config file, but that didn't help. Anyone had this problem and found a solution?

thats weir mine doesn't do that with the hd 4850 making the game go over 400 fps. It does it with halo 2 vista if it goes over 102 fps but not halo 1 pc/ ce

I know all about the problem with Halo 2. Really a shame. If your FPS goes up that high, you definitely don't have VSYNC enabled. Maybe you should try it.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I havent had that issue with vsync, but i do have a isssue with the enviroment going fast, but everything else (ai, other players) running jerkish.

I don't think that's a Halo only - problem Jacob, it appears on a number of games. I'm experiencing that with some of my games atm. So far I haven't found a solution. :s

Ugh. Well, I spent about a month messing with AA, AF, and VSYNC, and have decided that as good as VSYNC looks, it's just not an option for my hardware. It causes mouse issues, and has a performance hit on games besides capping the framerate. So in total protest, I've disabled VYSNC AA and AF. Doesn't look so hot, especially TF2 and Crysis, but it's still very playable. I've learned from reading that everybody's system is different, so I hope others can get exactly the experience they're looking for.
