Halo added a lot to that gameplay system, this changes almost nothing from battlefield. Horrible argument. Come up with some unique classes instead of the generic ones.Ummmm.
A class based Halo REACH, if it keeps the same Halo formula of gameplay (shields, melees, controls, weapons, etc.) would add just as much to this new gameplay system (Battlefront/Battlefield/Team Fortress) as it did to the old one (Quake/Doom/etc.).
I based my classes off of the "generic" ones from the Halo novels. Support (Sam), Recon (Kelly), Soldier (John), Engineer (Will), Sniper (Linda).
Most class based games already have most of the elements that Halo added to the Quake style of gameplay so a class based Halo wouldn't be anything special.
Who cares about the books. A generic class system would make for a bad game. The classes would have to be unique to make it worth playing. Besides weren't the differences between the Spartans minuscule. Overall they were very similar.
