Clearly because the desktop uses a 3 prong plug and a laptop uses a 2 prong plug, the microwave will fill your car with tostitos better

I'm more or less against any idea that doesn't keep traditional Halo gameplay. There is a reason I play Halo and not battlefield or CoD or GoW. Its too late at this point in the series to change the style of play, if Reach tanks because they do some kind of semiobscure sub genre, I will probably never buy a Microsoft product again.

I can't even imagine the lag.

This would be worse than crysis.

People would have to go to the year 3000 to pick up a computer capable of running this on low quality with maximum amount of players. Seriously.

All I really want is halo 3 with a toned down BR and a greater vareity of mid range weapons like it.

I like your idea, however the majority of members in this forum will be against the Classes idea but I liked it.
I always wanted Halo to go to a new FPS style.

Why don't you just continue to play Battlefield 1943? My friends are insisting that I get it because it is so good. I may get it, but even if I do get it, and even if I think this game is "so freaking cool dude!", I am not going to want to turn Halo into this game.

I will insist that someone makes a Battlefield 1944. Not change one of my favourite games, into one of my new favourite games.

That is like me wanting Halo to be played like Call of Duty, or Fallout 3.

See, most of the time you bring integrity to these forums, good, understandable, logical, reasonable ideas.

But this one, I am afraid, is you just wanting to turn one of your favourite games into one of your other favourite games. Just like all the other community goers who want to make Halo more like CoD. I should've responded with a blatant "No.", like I always do to people who suggest turn the game into a different game.

Halo Reach is not Halo 4. It is a new game; not in the same trilogy. Why should the gameplay be identical? Bungie shouldn't be afraid to experiment with Halo. I don't want more of the same, I want some change. I mean, Halo Wars did fine and it was an RTS, a large scale Halo game would do much better, partly because it would be made by Bungie, and partly because its closer to the classic style.

What you could do, is make a skin for your Battlefield game on a PC and you would basically have what you just described!
I have to admit i would like the idea of that style of a game, but halo is halo, and if you shift too far away from that you risk losing a major part of your fan-base.

I get what you are saying. But you already have Battlefield 1943.

If Bungie is going to make any changes to the Halo as we know it, fine, they are free to do so. But for anyone to suggest it be like or just like a game that already exsists and isn't a Bungie made Halo game is just ludicrous.

I can understand some hardcore fans from Halo:Combat Evolved wanting more strategic things added like fall damage, or a health system.
I can even understand some hardcore fans from Halo 2 wanting a more powerful BR.
I can understand the fans from Halo 3 wanting a less powerful BR.

But what I can't understand is anyone who wants one of thier favourite games, like Call of Duty, or Gears of War, or MAG to be what Halo: Reach is.

Everytime I hear someone suggest: Let's make Halo: Reach like this game. It makes me want to slit my throat.

Essentially, you will be getting one of your favourite games, with a Halo skin on it.

Now, If Bungie finds some of the features from Battlefiled 1943 something they would want added to the game, they will add it to the game. If they want something from CoD, then they will add something from CoD, if they want super retarted massive battles like in MAG, they will do that.

But it is up to them.

I'm not saying change this game into BF 1943, if you read the whole thread and played BF, you'd know that the only things I carried into my idea were the large-scale maps (which are definitely not exclusive to BF), and the squad system (which I suggested imrpovements for) as well as classes (there are only 3 in BF, and they are not very indepth).

The way that Halo feels (the controls, the dedicated melee button, dedicated grenade button, two weapon max., shields, etc.) would remain intact. This is not a mere skin for BF. It would be Halo as we know it on a larger scale, and with 5 classes based on the 5 Spartan physiques in the banner.

I still don't agree with the class based gameplay. I doubt I will ever. Halo has me coming back because of the balanced fair equal gameplay. Not unequal.

Say, Halo did have classes. One class had the BR. The majority of the population would choose that class.

I like Halo because it maintains the old feel of an FPS. You go in equal and you pick up weapons. The more powerful weapons are an equal distance from both sides so it is a race to them, and usually a battlefront for the weapon.

Well thats fine. This game could work well without classes too, but I think classes may factor into this judging by the drastically different sizes of the Spartans of the banner.

Say, Halo did have classes. One class had the BR. The majority of the population would choose that class.Well the class with the BR is average down the board, so they would not excel in any one thing. One would be foolish to choose that class unless they were really good with the BR, something which is not the case for 90% of the community.

This is way to complicated, the squad system. There is no way Bungie would do this, with the way they're noobing everything up.

I like it, and would further be supported by the Reach picture: Spartans, Marines, ODSTs, Pilots - Hero class, Assault, Spec Ops, Engineers, would be very similar to Battlefront/Battlefield. As for arguments on it being complicated or away from Halo style look at Halo Wars as a different Halo style. As for the Halo franchise it would not be surprising if they pulled a LucasArts with making counter parts to existing games Star Wars style. IE: Battlefront -Battlefield, Republic Commando - Rainbow Six.

Big big big battles would be great but I don't think a class system would work. One of the endearing qualities of Halo is that everyone starts and ends equally, maybe simply assigning individuals objectives rather than attributes would be a better less rigid way to distinguish players. i.e. Defend the base, sniper support, spotting etc.

Maybe start weapons/equipment would be good but I think everyone should be able to jump, melee, resist fire, run exactly the same.
