That all sounds really cool.It might take Bungie a little longer to make but, I think it would bring in a new fanbase. I do like the sprint idea. You must have given this a lot of thought.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

I would be insanely happy if they managed to make large-scale battles, but I'm just worried about the lag.

I like battlefield but i honestly hate situation where Im saying if only i had that class...
All the classes are available to everybody, right from the beginning. There is no unlock/leveling system.

But once you spawn you cant switch classes till you die. I know you dont have to unlock. But im saying I hate having a sniper class and then out of nowhere someone with an smg comes up near me and kills me. Where as in Halo 3 I switch to my Ar or Br and kill him.
That's how classes would be balanced. You're a sniper you can dish out plenty of pain from afar, but you better watch your back and kill anyone before they come up to you or you will probably die (unless you can no scope or pistol them).

maybe not for reach but one thing to maybe consider, there was a system in a game called planetside where there were no classes. everyone started at the same point and implemented an exp style system. You used that to earn classifications to use specific equipment. When you earn classifications for everything then you would be a spartan at that point. Cause the problem with making a spartan class is just that Spartans were the best of the best you put whatever in there hand and it turned to gold pretty much. The system would have to be placed in a HUGE scale level takeover situation. Continents controlled by both humans and covenent. It would take a ton of work. But i must admit it was one of the most intresting FPS systems ive ever played.

Unlockables which make the game easier... break the game. New players are at an even larger disadvantage than simply being bad players compared to the longer-time players. All classes should be available from the start if they would be implemented to keep it balanced.

yep Halo Reach should have all the vehicles you mentioned, multiplayer needs a new direction, big battles like star wars Battlefront maybe?

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

...Awesome...

When Nolan Bowen's memory conflicts with reality, everything changes... Partial Reminiscence: Revelation
Perspective
Loyalty
Repercussion

I like most of the stuff you have here (NOT CLASSES) but realistically Bunige ain't gonna step outside the boundaries if they don't have to. Yes, halo wars did, but that was made by a company that specialized in RTS games. The actual gameplay in that game was too simplistic as well.

Now if MS could get the battlefield team to make it (never gonna happen- EA), that would be quite epic. But you would have to play as marines to get the scope right, and there is no real equivalent to marines in the covenant.

But for the love of halo- NO SPRINT! Seriously. It hurts my thumb always sprinting. :(

I love the idea, however I feel that Halo: Reach should maintain the traditional gameplay, and that "Halo: Battlefield" and "Halo: Battlefront" style games should be released later.

-pelicans
-faster elephants or ground unit transport
-no clasess
-more armor perms
-pelicans
-new weapons that will actually be used
-no classes
-a huge map
-pelicans
-awesome graphics
-no classes
-pelicans

I miss playing Halo with my friends.

Dedicated servers, then this would be bad ass.

I like the idea for sure, just make sure it doesn't ruin Bungie's 30 seconds of fun concept and you're golden.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Although a hypothetical thread, this is one of the best I have seen. However, I got to the melee section and why should a knife or machete be able to penetrate shields and Spartan armor?

I realize the same argument could be said about the Halo 1 2 and 3 melee, but a knife would probably bend if smashed into MJOLNIR armor.

Not if it was made of a strong enough material, they are being swung by, after all, SPARTANS AND ELITES.

For my other post, I actually would like to say that these would need to really be balanced out. Starting with Rockets and Gause Rifles? Come on, at least take away the reticle from snipers when not in zoom.

Actually, TF2 and BF:BC let you swap out similar weapons that are relatively "equal in power". The suggestions seem pretty similar to classes, unlike CALL UV DEWDY!!!
