Why'd you scroll over me, you little wierdo?

I don't think Halo: Reach needs to be turned into a completely different game. I think it needs to be a lot more gritty though. Waa-ay too many colours.

I also think that Bungie should have their own servers to solve the lag problem and provide us with infinte ammounts of large scale battles in large scale maps with brand new graphics.

i think that it is a pretty good idea for a gamemode but it would be pretty hard to make with all the classes and vehicals battlefield 1943 didn't have that many things

these ideas are plausible but very unlikely and even more impossible of the a console for this generation of gaming, so much AI will use far too much processing power and the Halo lag would get even WORSE!

Rawr!!

1: Sniper class should have the biggest Motion Sensor range.
2: Don't make the maps too big. That would be a copy of Battlefield.
3: Take out jets, but keep Pelican's and Phantoms, etc.
4:Good concept, but never gonna happen.
5:Try to find some way to start a project like this on your own.

Edit: Don't make it Halo:Reach, make it a new game when Xbox 720. Or PS4 comes out, this is way too much stuff for the 360 to handle.

1. That would not be fair because he could camp too easily.
2. So... having smaller arena sized maps means that Bungie copied Quake, Doom, etc.
3. If the maps are large jets would work fine. I dont think a class based game would work with smaller maps because everyone would pick the Sniper.

5. Will do... someday. It won't be a Halo game but I have a universe as rich as Bungie's Halo Bible (well, maybe) that I will use to write my novels and make my games after college.

There's no classes and you fight over weapons that are placed on the map.

Of course I don't actually think this. I'm just saying that's ow flawed the logic of people who say "well you can have classes or it well be CoDoodie!" and ignorant stuff like that. It would still be Halo.

Battlefield and Battlefront FTW! I'm not saying you're copying off of those two games, as that's how customization works on "Class-Based" games.

Besides that, Halo has it's own style of gameplay. There's no need to make a major switch like this... Perhaps one day, when Bungie works on a totally new project (which they are currently doing), we'll see something like this, but in a whole new universe!

I like the idea of most of it but some of it is just pushing it i want to see halo become a little more stratigic but like we dont want to change the game all like that keep what we got and build off that I like the idea of extending the battlefield but we don't need to make it squad based or class based it would take all the fun out of being yourself it needs to be balnced between squad and stratigic and how it is now. No classes itll ruin the game

I really much like the idea of the veicheils and weaponds and equipment i think it is the best concept they can add to the game minus the class system thought bring them all into the game and into multi player!!!!!!!! plz it has to go into multiplayer

Yeah im pretty messed up.

I think this should be made by DICE (EA) but with Bungie. So then it would be Battlefield, but with Halo stuff, like you said. Thats what they did with Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios made that with some help from Bungie. So it would still be Halo, but with Battlefield-ish gameplay, as you proposed. Now I know Halo Reach is being made by Bungie right now at this moment... so it wouldnt be Halo Reach comming out 2010... it would be Battlefield: Halo, like some other people mockingly said. I think this is a good idea though, because I like the gameplay of both games, and you could set DICE up with making it because im sure it would gain at least millions if it came out, good or bad... so that they'd still be making money. Besides after I read the proposal type thing... an image popped into my head, Im the leader of my squad and we start off in a recon warthog, and we charge for the middle base with the call in, I mumble "Here we go..." and as we ramp off a hill above and see some aircraft comming in and trying to bomb us I yell "Get out!" and we all jump out as the warthog explodes behind us, and a feirce battle for the base erupts...

Idk if that was any good what-so-ever but that poped into my head so I decided to post that...

I love the idea of a giant scale battle, but i think all the ideas you have should become its own separate halo game, and let Bungie make halo reach like the other halo games...maybe put the large scale battles in it tho, that would be cool. And maybe simplify your game a bit, cuz its a little too much..... but you have some great ideas :)

I read your whole thread Cheehwawa. You put a lot of thought into it. I don't even have an opinion but I've always wanted, and for any game, for there to be huge-scale fighting.

Halo added a lot to that gameplay system, this changes almost nothing from battlefield. Horrible argument. Come up with some unique classes instead of the generic ones.

Elites vs Humans is something i've ALWAYS wanted to see.
No matter what anyone else says, this is a great idea.

And geez guys, cut him some slack. So what if ideas were taken from battlefield & battlefront. Conker was like this and the game turned out pretty fun. Halo also pretty much copied from every other FPS. If this isn't in Reach, then it might be in another game.
We haven't had a good futuristic class based game since Battlefront, so this would be really cool.
And to prevent camping with 2 of the best weapons in the game, they could make it to where certain classes aren't trained to use certain weapons, much like Mass Effect.
And doesn't anyone think that Halo Wars 'copied' C&C? Probably not. Only a major kiss arse fanboy would worry THAT much about this game copying another, when all games basically copy eachother.

Besides, there are many games that 'copied' the FF series, yet some of them still turn out good.

Seems like a good idea but the classes would have to be more balanced. Though i do like the idea of classes and large scale combat in a halo game instead of just 12 man teams. also jets may be a bit of an over kill. but the pelican and phantum would be great along with the troop worthog. finaly just because the game has big maps and classes doesn't mean that its any of the battlefields or call of dutys and it would be nice to have something new in a halo game.

I be trippin'.

Sounds great. I was actually working on something like this, but you pretty much covered it. I'm gonna make some comments. All will be constructive.

Vehicles: I am very, very, very picky about vehicles. Without them, Halo is a bad game. Remove the gauss scorpion and the flame thrower Scorpion. They are really cool, but there's no need for three. I have a different idea.

After achieving a killing frenzy or so, a SW Battlefront reminiscent screen will show up. It will say would you like to upgrade to a Grizzly? If approved, a Pelican will show up, drop off a Grizzly, and take the Scorpion. The Grizzly's main attack now does 1.5x as much damage and fires 2x as fast. The turret also gets a 2x damage boost. It also looks like a Halo Wars Grizzly.

The same thing would happen if a Hornet would achieve success. It would transform into a Hawk and gain more abilities. 2x as fast and fires 2x as fast. No damage boost because it would gain the Chaff Pod ability, which automatically directs homing missiles. A Spartan Laser, Assault Beam, or anything not homing would be needed to destroy it. would be needed to manually take it down. It looks lie a Halo Wars Hawk.

The Covenant Wraiths would gain a 2x speed bonus, a 1.5x damage boost, 2x rate of fire, the turret would become a Needler which could lock on to infantry, and a great splash damage effect. It would set off an EMP not affecting allies, and disabling enemy vehicles and radar for a short time. It would be called a Lich and would look like the Honor Guard Wraith from Halo Wars.

The Banshee's reward would be more stealthy. It would gain a total active camouflage ability that lasts for 45 seconds, and takes 30 seconds to recharge. The plasma cannon would also get a 2x damage bonus. It would be called a Witch and would have purple streamers coming from the wings and have a golden Covenant symbol on the top. It would not gain the missile directing ability like the Hornet.

These advantages would give players a reason not to just take the "big" vehicles and run off. Plus, all players skilled with these vehicles could easily change the game around and would make these now "average" vehicles a bigger target instead of the transport vehicles.

I love the Warthogs, I just think that having a Troop Hog and a Recon Hog seems kinda redundant. But its cool. However, I don't think that there is a balance between Covie and UNSC medium and light vehicles. I believe that the Covenant's medium vehicles are lack variety and their light vehicles have no stealth unit.

Charger: A Prowler, armed with an Assault Beam instead of a Spiker turret. It gains damage the longer you hold it down, but loses charge more rapidly. It is very affective against vehicle and aircraft. It loses the side seats due to room needed for the battery power. It is also .8x as fast as Prowler.

Dealer: A Prowler having no turret, replaced with a rounded bench extending around the front and to the sides. Total capacity including driver: 5. It is the same speed as a Prowler, regarding the number of passengers.

This is my idea for the Recon Hog equivalent vehicle.
Smoker: Based on the Chopper, this vehicle has two small wheels instead of one big one. They are located in the front. Between the two wheels, there is a turret. This is a different kind of turret. It shoots smoke grenades/EMP bombs. These will deactivate enemy radar and provide a passage for the Smoker to go through. The driver also has dashboard which allows him to see clearer through the smoke.

THis should be my final vehicle proposition, and its simple. Once again, it seems redundant to have a Spirit and a Phantom. But, I guess in a situation, each could have its uses.

Weapons: I basically have no problems with the weapons. I love how you included the Halo Custom Edition flamethrower.

For the melee weapons, I feel the Covenant should have an advantage because... well just because. I think the Honor Guard Spear and Gravity Hammer should make an appearance because their awesome. Even though I think the Gravity Hammer should be a lot more powerful.

Is the Gauss Rifle a Sniper Rifle alternative? I didn't catch right there if you have to find it or what...

This class is not intended to be on the frontlines. It is meant to sneak into an enemy base, and wreak havoc. These units usually don't live very wrong if used correctly. They have the C7 Explosives while the Recon class has EMP grenades.

Primary Weapon: M6C SOCOM Magnum.
Secondary Weapon: Machete
Grenades: C7 Explosives x4
Special Item: Double dose of C7 secured on back. When equipped, becomes a suicide bomber and instantly kills all enemies in a 20 foot radius.

Special Ability: Anti-Gravity Suit: This suit allows a strong Spartan to scale walls with a simple grip, and even allows a Spartan to travel upside down. Perfect for infiltrating enemy bases. Also have a passive VISR mode ability.
Vehicle Ability: Allows light vehicles to be remotely operated by going up to one and pressing B. This basically allows the player to drive the vehicle just like they normally would, but then pressing LT would remote detonate it and cause an explosion.

I think I'm ready to submit this. Anyway, I share a lot of your opinions including the fact that you shouldn't be able to fully customize your class. I believe that this would promote camping, or building an unbeatable class.

I say no, as Halo is famous for providing a balanced playing field, and this would wreck it.

Also this seems more like you want it to be Halo Wars: First Person. Mixed in with Battlefield and Battlefront.

I'm all for bigger battles but class based games just aren't a good idea for Halo.
