Halo: Reach would be the only game without a class system. Think about it, almost every game has a class system now. COD series, GoW, Far Cry. So I think Halo: Reach should have the class system.

By that logic every human should be dead. There have been more dead people than ones currently living.

Since when does GoW have a class system?

But the rate of birth is far greater than the rate of death.

The godforsaken Host in that game is a class of it's own. jk lmao!

But honestly you're right there is no class system in the GoW games.

Halo is unique, what's wrong with that? If you want classes, stay away from Halo.

Whoops. I only played GoW once about 2 years ago and thought there was one. Oh well, I'm to lazy to edit it.

Halo could still be unique with a class system, Bungie would just have to make their class system unique.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Gears of War doesn't have a class based system.

Also, Halo is one the most successful FPS'. Infact is probably is thee most successful, and it didn't get that way by being a follower. It didn't get that way by doing what other games do.

just 'cuz "everyone else is doing it" doesnt mean that halo should or would. halo doesnt need to be like them to be cool. thats why halo ownz. Bungie/MS (for now anyway) actually HAVE their own ideas and dont need to steal from others to keep up with the newer games.

It's all good, like I said though, technically the host in that game could be considered a class of it's own. lol!

too true.

Why does it matter? That keeps Halo unique.

Multiplayer Gameplay

Campaign Experience
Reach----Halo:CE-----------------ODST-----Halo2---------Halo3

Glad that Halo 3 garbage is dead, thanks to Reach.
Unfreakenbelievable!!

I was unaware that Gears (I assume by GoW, unless you meant GodofWar) has a class system. Also, what about Red Faction:Guerrilla? That game is one of the best designed MP games out there right now and it is without classes. What about the very popular L4D and L4D2? Maybe you should've thought out your reasoning for having classes a little more indepth with fun, interesting ideas to back it up.

BTW, the only way classes work, is if the weapon set is close to being balanced. These "other" games you speak of that have classes have the weapons and equipment designed out where nothing is overpowering and allows you to do decent with any class you so choose. With Halo, the weapons are so far from that balance that certain people starting with different various weapons or attributes overly dominant over others. Think about Halo 3, where one person starts with a Sniper and one starts with an AR; the Sniper would win every single battle. Halo's weapon balance would need to be completely redone and redesigned so each class is balanced.

In other words, quit trying to make Halo into what it is not. Bungie will not create a game of such balance and design; it is against their ego.

No offense, but this whole notion of this game developer stealing a gameplay style from this game is getting quite moronic and if you wanted to play by those guidelines then Halo ripped off the FPS gameplay from every other FPS before it then.

Of course there is going to be one game that adds something new and it will be noted for it but it's rude and ignorant to say that another game developer stole another game developers gameplay style.

I believe it would be more appropriate to say that they were inspired instead of stole. Savvy?

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

What about Duke Nukem? What about Goldeneye 007? What about Perfect Dark?

I could go on.
