Bungie has already completed Halo 3 ODST. Why do we have to wait until September to purchase it?

Mass production, Bug testing. Search Bar wouldnt hurt

Hey guess what!? I play CoD more than Halo, but I'm not an annoying fanboy. I love CoD more, but I like how involved the Halo Community is...

I understand the OP, but it would be nice to get a week or 2 early,, or maybe let the people ( like me) who paid for the CE in full get it early

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

The Fall is the major game buying era.

They said September 22nd. If they released it any earlier without telling the ESRB or whoever is in charge of the release dates for games, Bungie or Microsoft would get sued over for False advertising and if they only allowed people who paid in full get it then it would be a huge unnecessary pain in the ass for Microsoft.

Well seeing as how there isn't commercials yet, maybe they could change dates on their site. and lol The ESRB is for Ratings

Not only if you look at the site you can see the release dates of some games that havent come out yet.

I've already read all of the halo books today you stupid nerd. Plus Halo:Fall of reach twice.

Stop acting like kids. Everything has its reason. Just because the game is done doesn't mean you can have it straight away. Grow up and wait.

because they wanted the release date 77 days after bungie day(plus they have to arrange all the crap to ship it and its a better marketing strategy to release it closer to the holidays.)

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Because we can and it's free.

along with final testing and production, changing a release date that has been announced a while ago would probably screw up many retail stores that carry the game and the shipping companies that deliver the game.

they probably also want to give people more time to pre-order it.

last, they probably want it to get the perfect amount of hype for it that people would be dying to buy it. if they release it too soon, theres not enough hype. too late, and people would get sick of hearing about it

rather have an achievement (or a special brownie) then a cookie.
