"If you hate it don't flame it"

Well earlier this week I received a pm from someone saying just two words "Menachite Mountain" and these two words got me thinking so i did some halo wiking and came across something so intriguing to me.

Now the "Menachite Mountain" is a mountain on the planet reach and this mountain was supposed to be taken over by Team Delta as a fall back for the Spartan-II Red Team. This Team Delta was consisted of a Corporal, a few marines, and three Spartans. Spartan-029 (Joshua), Spartan-087 (Kelly), and Spartan-104 (Fred). so if you take out the Corporal and the few marines then you have just three Spartans and if you combine that with a different theory seen on this board you can put together a Team consisting of 4 Spartans and one covenant. Spartan-029 (Joshua), Spartan-087 (Kelly), Spartan-104 (Fred), and possibly Spartan-117(Master Chief) who is with The Arbiter.

This theory is to me quite realistic and it is even represented by the picture as seen above. For details on what can actually be happening i dint know yet but the characters are in my eyes this Team for now i will call it the "Unknown Team".

P.S.- If you are wondering why no name was posted is quite obvious it's against board rules so look it over tell me what you think but If you hate it don't flame it. (New catch phrase)

arbiter with spartans in a prequel not realistic and chief was on the pillar of autumn on a random jump towards halo so yeah unrealistic idea is unrealistic

It doesn't need to be a prequel it could be years later and on top of that a different theory stated that after the legendary campaign of Halo 3 it shows a planet i did not state this but it would be quite magnificent if they landed on reach and not meet with other Spartans. And whatever if you don't like then good for you no harm intended just a thought through the old thinking tube.

it shows in the trailer reach falling, so it would definitly be a prequel, also in the trailer it says " from the beginning you now the end" ... so prequel.. no arbiter..

Sure.

I believe Bungie confirmed Reach to be a prequal, therefore the Arbiter is still the Supreme Commander and is still part of the Covenant...

You just lost the game.

"I swear, I didn't shoot you! That bullet was in your head before I pulled the trigger..."
"Ordinarily I would tell you to stand back if you don't want to be injured. But in this case, I'll make an exception. I'm going to beat down every last one of you!" -Kenshin Himura

Well actually you all just lost the game.

But yes, it is a prequel (Bungie have said it), and since it's a prequel, the Arbiter is not even the current Arbiter (he didn't become the Arbiter until after Halo: CE). Also, Chief wasn't there for the fall of Reach (which is what this game will be centered around), so that's two of your five characters that are implausible.

Who shot who in the what now!?

Keep in mind this is much after the fall of Reach. The three spartans, along with Dr. Halsey, were inside the mountain for quite a while before John showed up. He can't be thrown in there without messing up some of the plotline. Adding another character would sort of work, but then you have some other spartan that would have to be thrown into the storyline.

It could work, wouldn't be too tough to incorporate a character, especially if you kill them off when chief joins. Just a thought though.

He was only at the battle of Reach for an hour or so, then jumped to Halo. And hundreds of Spartans? I believe there was less than thirty present.

Signatures are for squares.

Chief was on Reach, and EVERYONE always forgets that. He returned to Reach after Alpha Halo, and he rescued the remaining spartans from Castle Base.

But your theory is wrong.

i can understand why he says arbiter because that guy to the left looks like an elites body but i dont know we will find out one day

"If you hate it don't flame it"

Okay so if i were to revamp my theory from the prequel point of view then i can still got with the three Spartans and maybe the two other figures in the picture are the Corporal and a marine that part of Team Delta

[Edit] And at the end of the Halo 3 legendary campaign you see a blue planet now this could have been reach thousands of years later after the Glassing. The ending could just have been a hint to a prequel but i don't think anyone knows what the planet looks like after Glassing (at least color wise).

Yes.

This Team Delta was consisted of a Corporal, a few marines, and three Spartans. Spartan-029 (Joshua), Spartan-087 (Kelly), and Spartan-104 (Fred). No, it was Will-043, Isaac-039, Vinh-030, 3 other crippled Spartans, and four marines from Charlie Company.

Since Spartan-259 takes the focal point of the trailer, its safe to assume he will be the main playable character. And if this is the case, we will be a part of Team Beta, since S-259 wasn't a member of Team Alpha (Fred's), Team Gamma, or Team Delta (they were all virtually crippled), and they were only 3-strong after half the team made it to CASTLE base). And going off of this, we will get a new story, so we probably won't even see Menachite Mountain or the Forerunner complex below. But in Ghosts of Onyx, Halsey said that they didn't discover all of the complex, so we may enter it elsewhere in the mountain chain.

Sam was never described as the tallest Spartan, there were surely others around his height, maybe even taller.
