  • Subject: [Novel] True Sangheili (Part 37 available!) ~ 6th March

Between the 14th and the 30th, I've got my AS-level exams and they're pretty important, so I'm (trying to) focus on revision for those right now. I know it always seems like I've got some exam or other, but that's usually because I do. It sucks. Still, I'm cracking slowly on with this and even when I'm not I'm mentally drafting ideas and I sometimes even get them written down.

Just keep checking in every once in a while, it'll be up eventually. It always is.

Well stop, your just getting yourself depressed, go on to FF.net and look at "The Life" by casquis... Its a pretty good and long story... He updates at least once a week. It's about an ODST doing stuff... And stuff... Anyways, I check this around once a week... Hey, Wolverfrog, whats the outline for this next chapter?

I don't want to say too much, although you can expect some major convergence. You might want to read Greg Bear's Forerunner Saga though; I'm doing my best to bring this more into line with current canon, because right now it's very much a product of the 2009 which bore it and the times they are a changin'. I want this to stay relevant even after Halo 4 comes out and beyond, unlike Insurrection was is kind of... well, I don't really need to say.

I never thought about that.

Yeah... That was a bit off cannon in some parts... It was still really good though!
Anyways, yay converging! That's always fun!

Why hello there.

Microwave ovens are quite large.

WORT, WORT,WORT!

-NUMS!

Sorran Savara reunion? I think she might be a little pissed.

When I wrote it everything fit with the canon. It was back when we all believed Halo 3 was the last main game, and that a Halo 4 wasn't so likely. Back before 343i was established. The last chronological event in the universe was the Master Chief heading towards the planet in the legendary ending. Anything was possible.

Except Johnson coming back from the dead. That was just mental. But awesome.

Ha, yeah... I knew that they probably would make another though... Who's going to pass up a chance to make all that money right? I think it's coming out in December... Oh, and do you know for sure that Johnson is/was a spartan 1? I don't remember seeing that anywhere... Or did you make that up?

Guest-17: (to both Joe and Brian) "Who is your favorite SPARTAN from the Halo books?"
Joe-Staten: "As long as we're counting SPARTAN-Is...I'd have to go with Avery Johnson!"

Source.

It's also very heavily alluded to in the graphic novel and Contact Harvest; I wrote Johnson into the story as a Spartan-I long before Staten confirmed it as definite.

Haven't read any of these for such a long while. Where the hell do I start?

So he is?

He definitely is...

What a waste....

Just because Insurrection lacked canon didn't mean it was a bad novel. Though it did seem a little too fast at some parts.

If only your exams had that same speed :/

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

I suppose Ch. 16 is a good place to start again; before that the plot's basically just Sangheili adventures on Eridanus II until Sorran learns the truth about the Halo array in Ch. 15.

Yes. Waiting on a reply from a literary agent in the UK. Shouldn't be long now.

All this waiting is making me bored.

When will you be releasing the next part of True Sangheili?

Can you give us an accurate date?

No. I finish my exams on the 30th though, so that's when I'll be writing again.

  • 05.20.2012 4:28 AM PDT

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.
