Been a long time Halo/Bungie fan, and always will be.

Well i love the fact about the game that its more realistic than previous halo's....personally i dont care...dont get me wrong i do like shields but its just those -blam!- CoD lovers that are always saying "OMG halo has shields what a loser game"...SO WHAT GET OVER IT!!!!...i just wanted to say that...plus BUNGIE IS WAYY BETTER THAN TREYARCH!!!!!...so how do you feel about it being more realistic forgetting the fact that your fighting aliens..lol

Discuss:

Edit: GUYS IM JUST SAYING IT GOT A TINY BIT MORE REALISTIC!!! and yes i know that games are to escape reality

I play both COD and Halo, and I like them both. I wouldn't say that one is better than the other.

Snakie Purple.

"Hamdog, Hamdog, Hamdog, Hamdog"-Hamdog.

Twatter

It's not. You can still take a bullet/spike/plasma bolt to the face and walk it off.

What you said was very foolish, Bungie and Infinity Ward/Treyarch make good games that are different and appeal to different people. You may like the Halo games a lot and they might like the Call of Duty series, that doesn't make them or you better. I've been around playing games for so long that I've actually played the original Marathon on an especially old Apple computer and I'm a big lover of video games so I don't take kindly to foolish criticism about games I like.

i agree but still now they wont be as annoying as usual....

-I know what you're thinking, and it's crazy.
-But... what if monkeys really could fly?

I enjoy both CoD4 and Halo 3. I enjoy Halo 3 more for the fact that I dislike dying without even knowing what happened. So I don't mind Halo series being "unrealistic" with its energy shields. If I will miss said shields is up to ODST to decide.

halo can be more realistic it setp a couple hundreds years into the future and by that time we might have more technology to do this

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Anyone who uses the "realistic video game" argument as to why they believe their game is better, is just desperate. No game is realistic, with the sole exception of Flight Simulator.

Spartans are super soldiers trained from the age of six, injected with drugs and augamented to become the best. They then have performance enhancing armour which speeds up their reaction times and boasts energy shielding.

I don't see why playing as a Spartan is unrealistic then, when you take the above into account.

You don't mess with the best,
and the best don't mess with the rest.

Call Of Duty, 50 bullets to the face, still standing, Halo, 50 bullets to the face, still standing.

Their armor, energy shield, and the augmentations themselves are all currently WAY beyond our technology.

Scaring people with my idiocy daily.

Call of duty is nowhere near realistic, if it was realistic you would be shooting at people from several miles away, not at point blank range.

Oh yes, because in the next 500 years humanity won't progress at all.

Miles away and point-blank both occur in modern warfare.

Call me a critic if you will, but I don't think we will ever be able to rip holes in the universe and travel across the galaxy in a matter of months.

True enough, and it is a video game after all, but I am just irritated with people thinking that call of duty is the pinnacle of realism simply because you can shoot a person and they die in two shots.

I believe going from Harvest to Reach took weeks, which is why UNSC forces had such late reactions and, in the end, left a lot of outer-colonies defenseless.

That's because it's beyond the comprehension of your 21st century brain. Would people in the middle ages have thought that one day, the entire world would be able to communicate with each other by the internet?
