Bouncing between here and Waypoint. When I get banned from one I go to the other,

I can't help but notice Bungie's different marketing strategies with ODST. Remember with Halo 3, hardly anyone got their hands on it after the beta, and if they did it was inside closed doors at Bungie? Well, the've taken it to E3, and to two locations so far at San Diego Comic Con.

And I doubt that's all. I think it's a bit different from what they've done in the past - a lot more people are getting a hands on taste early. Firefight demo on Marketplace, anyone? Yeah, I can dream.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Bungie would make mad bank making a demo available for download on the Marketplace. But of course, it's Firefight. Meaning, a demo would be the whole thing. The only way you can make it a demo is to limit the time someone can play it.

Go Rams and Missouri!

No demo, Bungie said so.

Or like one map with like, say, a 20 minute time limit.

Which was what I was thinking. But... I'd be afraid to download it. I'll think the following:

"Once I download and use the 20 minutes... the wait for this game is going to be even harder." I know I'm not alone with that, either.

I meant a 20 minute limit every time you play.

That's as good as an unlimited amount, though. The only thing it restricts is you getting your ass handed to you by 3 Chieftains with the Mythic skull on.

Spartans are from Venus and Elites are from Uranus

From a business stand point demos are best released months after the game is released to mob up the stragglers that are on the fence. Don't expect a demo. There wasn't one for Halo 3.
