Who reads these anyways?

Firstly, wrong forum. Second, it can not be a mod... So far the only thing that can be used to Cheat in halo is just manipulating your network... which isn't modding.. so modding accounts for no random deaths unless you are on some random forge map and not on matchmaking. Then it's possible that the map has been modded, but not possible that you will just drop dead like that.

It's just lag. Really bad, but just lag.

edit:
To clarify, Modding so far is only placing objects in place of others. We can place a frag grenade in a forge map, open it up on our computer and replace the frag with a couple different things that bungie included in the maps but didn't let us forge. Spartans, Elites, and Monitors are there because of the main menu.

That means that we can not cause people to randomly drop dead. What I beleive happened to you is you were playing with a lot of lag your self, or some one else was lagging, so the host "saw" you die, but your xbox didn't. Then your xbox was "told" you were dead, so you died. The lag caused more(complicated) things, such as the first person camera.

Also, to note, this thing has happened to me when playing with extremely laggy people. Normally I'll be running so I'll fall forward and my weapon will flash on and off of the screen then I'll get the blue 'x' in the center meaning I have no weapon, and sometimes I'll just lay there. Since I'm in first person, I can look at my legs which have a stretched texture on the part that meets the torso, which I'm looking through so I am unable to see.
