add a horn that says "!%*@ BILL O' REILLY" in Austin Powers' voice, and
I like how if anyone ever says a nice thing about Bungie people think all they want is Recon, and if someone says something bad about Bungie people join with them. And then after they get done bagging on Bungie, they go play the game that Bungie made

I just want it to continue to feel like Halo.

Well if it's a new game engine, the feel of the game might change slightly. Who knows?

Does anybody know of a game that is already using an "AAA" engine?

Project offset *jizzez*

The game looked better than crysis when it was debuted back in 04.

That game looks like a great example of the saying "Graphics don't make a game."

Really, the animations were disgusting and gameplay looked boring and repetitive. Sounds were also awful, music was did set the mood that I think it tried to achieve however.

Debuted back in 04 you stupid troll. It's still not done now.

I think it should wait until the new Xbox 360 comes out. The hardware might be improved on the new 360 so it can handle better graphics.

"Eyes from Death's dream kingdom appear as sunlight on a broken column. There, in Death's other kingdom, walking alone, trembling lips form prayers to broken stone."

Well, you know, except for Halo 3 and ODST, the Halo games have always had pretty much the best graphics that the time they came out had to offer, so I assume that since Bungie is more experienced with working with the 360, Reach will be no exception.

I'm not saying Halo 3's and ODST's graphics were bad, I thought they were pretty good, but in comparison to other games, they're not the best.

When Halo 3 came out, its graphics were considered fairly good compared to most games. But it wasn't long until new games came out that surpassed Halo 3 in graphics. But for a short period of time, Halo 3 did have one of the best graphics.

Well, I haven't watched many reviews and I don't have many other FPSs, so I'll assume you know more about it than I do. Like I said, I think the graphics for Halo 3 and ODST are really good, but from what I've heard they aren't the best in comparison to other games, but you know, that's just what I've heard, so I could definately be wrong.

Well the graphics in ODST are pretty much the same as the ones in Halo 3 since they share the same game engine. Halo 3 graphics are considered somewhat outdated at this point. But like I said, Halo 3 did have great graphics compared to other games at one point.

Unless they make a new upgraded 360 which Steve Ballmer says they will. Steve Ballmer is the new CEO of Microsoft in case you didn't know.

A new engine would benefit the Halo series quite a bit, but everyone has to consider the game will have multiple delays for the release date. Are you willing to wait? I am.

Well first of all, it's not like Bungie to delay their games. They've always made their promise in the past, and they're probably going to keep it now.

Also, Halo: Reach was already in the making soon after Halo 3 came out. So Bungie has already been working on it for 2 years. It's going to take them about another year to finish it since most of their games take 3 years except for ODST since it was an expansion.

So bottom line, it won't be delayed. They've already worked on so much and a multiplayer beta is coming out soon.

I read a news article that Halo: Reach will not be using the standard Halo Engine. Instead it will be using something known as the "AAA Engine". You can read the article here:

http://www.gameguru.in/first-person-shooters/2009/16/halo-rea ch-aaa-engine/

Based on the article, it seems Halo Reach is supposed to have graphics that are like 10 times better than Halo 3. Anyone else have more info on this new "AAA Engine"?

If someone has legit info post it in your thread it's hard to sift through all these comments.

I think there is always room for change, Yes the AAA engine might not be finished, but what if its better than the engine bungie are allready using when it comes out, i would prefer for bungie to delay the game than keep using an engine that is worse than one they could be using to make Reach the best it can be, as i see it, bungie have alot to make up for in the promises department, i loved halo 3, but it promised more than it delivered, and i dont want to lose more faith in bungie because they do the same again, i was expecting this huuuge amazing ending for halo 3 where the chief sacrifices himself to save the human race, because thats what the marketting suggested, but no, that didnt happen, and i know im rambling at the moment, but i think it is relevant, this engine could help bungie redeem themselves and make a game worthy of their creativity, halo 3 was nowhere near as good as it could have been, and i dont want to see them make the same mistake again, thats why i think ODST is a great move for bungie, they can make another great game, out of another game, which means people know what to expect, making it hard to get dissapointed, people that will buy ODST will be people that loved halo 3, but the people that didnt wont buy it, wheras Reach is moving in a completely different plot direction, and yeah its based on the fall of reach so we already know whats going to happen, but when was the last time you saw a film or game based on a book that stayed completely accurate, lotr left out one of the biggest chapters, the scouring of the shire, when saruman takes his remaining forces and pilages the shire, then frodo and the gang go and save it, but the thing is they had already filmed it, you see the footage too, in the first film when frodo looks into lady galadriels mirror, the reason they kept it out was because the film was too long, but it wasnt even in the extended version, or any other version, and i dont want to see bungie do the same with Reach, i want everything in there, and i want it to look and play spectacularly, so if Reach is a month from being completed with the current engine being barely what they promised (kike halo 3, and dont get me wrong i think halo 3 is the best game ever made), then the AAA engine is released, i would prefer for them to delay it for as long as it takes to use the AAA engine to make it a game worth their merit, one that will be challenging games in quality for years to come. do it right bungie!

Wow...that entire wall of text had 1 period. Why bother putting it just a mere 4 words from the end? You were so close to writing the whole thing using only commas. Please people, stop murdering the english language and its grammar and punctuation rules.
