~~The Silen7 Type~~

I mean in Halo 2 they were a big enemy factor, just because they weren't in Halo 3, doesn't change anything, so I am going to be really happy if they come back, since they were the on;y challenge enemy wise in Halo 2

There have been so many topics on this that I'm not going to bother... Just accept that you're fighting Brutes.

Go Rams and Missouri!

Because Truth was slowly replacing Elites with Brutes. One of the earliest movements was sending Brutes, not Elites, into New Mombasa after the slipspace rupture.

There shouldn't be Elites because we didn't fight them in Halo 3, and Bungie said they aren't putting them in.

You've failed, Truth favored the Brutes over Elites unlike the other prophets who favored Elites.

No, Elites were starting to find out what was wrong about the Covenant and their leaders, and some were becoming Heretics (like Sesa Refumee, who the Arbiter killed on his first mission donning the armor). Truth found that the Brutes were easy to manipulate and replaced the Elites with Brutes at high jobs. One of those first jobs was patrolling New Mombasa. One of the biggest parts in the action of the Brutes rising past the Elites was when the Elites killed Regret. This gave Truth a good excuse as to why Brutes should hold positions for Mercy too, and they both had Brutes replacing Elites. This led to the Great Schism.

So yes, Truth did favor the Brutes, but only because they were easy to bend to his will and they didn't question his motives.

No, Regret died by Master Chief, and because the Elites were the Honor Guards at the time (protectors of the Prophets), Truth was able to pinpoint his death on the Elites, saying they were less competent than the Elites.

As for Mercy, we can say that Truth killed him by telling Tarturas to leave him behind, but it was a flood spore that eventually gained hold of him.

Elites have shields and it would make Firefight too hard.

Brutes do too. The only difference is that once a Brute loses all shields, his armor falls off. If you put a few shots on a brute, but then back off for about 10 seconds, his shields will recharge. Also, Brutes go berserk and will kill you easily while raging.

I feel the Brutes should be stronger than the elites and not use tactics, and the elites should be more tactical. I want to see elites commanding troops in Halo.
