Yes, this is all a big coincidence.:  23%

No, Bungie saw these things and decided 9-22:  77%

On July 7th, Bungie Day, Halo 3: ODST was 77 days from launch.
Tuesday, September 22nd is the same week as Tuesday, September 25th was in '07 the launch of Halo 3. It's basically the same day of the same week.
September 22nd, 2552 is the date that Master Chief destroys the first discovered Halo ring.

Is this all a coincidence, or is it on purpose that the game is released on September 22nd.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Merely a coincidence that the 22nd of September is the first Tuesday of this fall. I even guessed the release date before E3.

Bungie likes to use 7 in a lot of things. It pops up everywhere. They purposely put the release date 77 days after bungie day but just because they put 7, 77, 777, 7777 or some other 7 combination doesnt mean they're related cause they put 7 in everything.

Who's the 4 retards that voted yes so far?

Its just like the Halo wars release date. March 3rd was the date printed on the Human-Covenant war memorial in the last cutscene before the credits.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

I wasn't aware of all this, and now I know for a fact this is no coincidence. Nice find.

True. Now that I think about it having the -blam!- beat out of you with a pool ball in a tube sock by your degenerate pimp is the better choice.

.

The tuesday part is 100% on purpose. Microsoft, for whatever reasons, always releases its games in the middle of the week, usually tuesday, sometimes thursday. I have no idea why.

The 77 days is coincidence as far as I know.

you know that sep 22nd is 3 days away from sep 25th whats 2+2+3 OMG it's SEVEN IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

It's a bit of both. Bungie loves to make references to seven. As said at E3, the game was already done. Chances are, that Bungie talked with Microsoft about the release date, and Microsoft said okay.

Still, awesome find!

EDIT: At the time of this post, 77% of voters believed that this was not a coincidence. Funny.

Bungie means everything they ever do because they are Bungie...and we're not.

Vancouver BC, Canada.

It's intentional, I'm sure.
