Troop transports with limited defense ability(possibly the Shadow from Halo 2)

Obviously, a way to construct your own base(similar to Forge)

Controllable structures within the map that either provide a defensive or offensive quality(like a Mega Turret, or perhaps a shield generator)

Underground tunnels.

id say headlong would be cool for firefight because it has a few good defence spots and you can poll a -blam!- zombie and 2 people watch back and 2 watch front or a map like bloodgulch and it more city like but at red base it turns to open plains,or bloodgulches normal envirment

I think High grounds would make a good firefight map. Also Headlong and Timberland (Halo PC).

All three places you find and defend the marines on the level "Halo" (second level of Halo:CE) would make great firefight maps. It was basically like fighting a couple of waves in firefight anyway.

Also in some other thread someone suggested the old mombassa level from Halo 2 where you defend the crashed pelican, sounded good to me. (not my idea) I think he meant this courtyard

As for other features in firefight I want lots of unlockable armour, skulls and easter eggs

but seriuosly, a map where u start on a bunker or a fort on a hill where all the covies try to rush the hill(oh and add some vehicles incase u decide to take the offensive) and lots of awsome weapons stored in a gigantic armory.

1) Valhalla, with enemies spawning from the basement of the blue base (There's a door in the spawn area).
2) A gauss mounted mongoose. :D
3) A level specifically designed for scarab battles.
4) A map where the basic enemy-killer is dropping fusion coils down at them while they scale the high ground.

I've always wanted a map that has weather such as rain, sleet, bright sun, fierce winds etc.

I've also thought it would be interesting if the different weather effects the way the game is played. Rain could reduce friction on the ground which would make your motion unsteady or it could make your visor wet to impair the vision slightly.

Fierce winds could make your movement more difficult by pushing you one way and then the other.

I don't know what other people would think of this but I've always enjoyed games where random events like weather change the gameplay. A semi-good example is the game FUEL.

A really big map,that you could go underground for Close combat,but on the outise it was just vehicular madness,complety unsafe for the ODST's without vehicles.

No each FF map is like a reg mp map but speced for fire fight not nearly as expansive as a campaign lvl i dont know if the ff maps are only for firefight though......... oh yes and i want an all tanks map Scorpion FTW

I think "Assault on the Control Room" from CE would be a good firefight map, itd be like redoing the mission only with all the newest weapons and enemies, and i think itd make an AWESOME replay factor for CE, to see what it was then, and how different it is now. lol
