Subject: Elites confirmed as enemies in Firefight!

One possibility is the author saw a cloaked brute, and forgetting they were present in the Halo 3 campaign he assumed it was an elite. Logically the presence of cloaked elite would imply normal elites are in the game as well so he then mentions both elites and cloaked elites in the article. Note how he does not mention cloaked brutes, but I have seen them in a video of firefight.

It would be nice to see elites as enemies though, for variations sake.

I'm kinda doubting this although elites would be awesome.

Again, he thought he was going to see them. But apparently I can't change peoples minds. And if they did see Elites, why haven't we seen them in any other firfight videos and the people who have played them hasn't said anything about it, till this dumb article?

Because the public has not played the map yet. Security Zone and Crater were the only playable ones at E3 and ComicCon.

Orly? So what Map was it then?

If that article actually loaded for me, I could probably find some things in there that could change peoples minds.

You quoted yourself? Bloody hell mate, get a rod on.

I think that Leaping brutes would be the regular Brute since I've seen them do that when they Beserk.

Sorry, I can't hear them over the sounds of Modern Warfare 3 on my Turtle Beaches.

The article is right here, I found it and the quote can be found in the third paragraph of the third page.

The truth behind this article is - I'd say - not the best. The website has Halo 4 resulting from a simple "Halo" search.

As much as I'd like to believe, I won't believe until I hear Bungie's word for it, and they said no Elites.

Or the leaping Brutes are the ones with Jetpacks, since those have been confirmed in Firefight also.

I think that Leaping brutes would be the ones with jetpacks that can launch themselves over 40 ft. in the air.

Then again, that would be obvious.

For about ten minutes. That's about how long it takes to get to the second set.

Noone (Beside Bungie.) Have even seen the 5th or the 6th or even the 7th set.

Who knows what may happen!

It will be hard to get past the 4th set.
That's what the Vidmaster requires.

You're being naughty. No discussing leaked info or it's banadu for you.

Where are the Bungie employees when you need them?

I think this makes the most sense, based on what the author said:

Firefight with invisible Brutes

Whichever they refer to, I have a point do I not?

That article isn't loading for me, but the fact that in the url it calls the game Halo 3 Recon, tells me something.

Tells you that a Web Editor is lazy and doesn't wan to rewrite the code for a section of the site just to rename it.

Alot of sites do that.

The writer of the article says that the elites wer in Crater. Oh and there is a 3rd confirmed Firefight mission: ONI Alpha Site.

...To bump my question so it could get answered.

Very well. The map the press played was named Alpha Site, a completely new map unplayed by the public.

I miss the elites. Hope they return in Firefight.

It would be nice if they were. Dunno why but Elites are far more appealing enemies to fight than brutes to me. Not to mention it would add a new enemy to the sandbox without upsetting the Halo universe with a new unheard of Covenant alliance.
