hi all,

i got a real problem and i can t seem to find an answer to this

when i host a game either it is on normal halo or dedicated, ppl can join my game, BUT they get kicked out after some time, and its saying "game has been closed" or something similar. the thing is pretend theres 10/10 ppl in my server 2 of them are me and my bro wich we have our seperate computer on the same router... and all the other 8 are normal internet players. well when the problem occurs all 8 get kicked out of the game, but me and my bro dont get kicked... we are still in the game. after this problem, if ppl wants to try and join again, the game isnt listed on gamespy anymore...

i have tried several things for this
1) enable DMZ on my computer (or disabling firewall, same thing)
2)try hosting on my bro's computer
3)tried different settings in the router

all this with no avail except for:

4) connecting my computer directly to the modem
this solution works awesome, no problem at all...
but i cannot not use my router, we all need it to share internet. so then i called a hardware software technicien and he told me to test wat i have listed above... so this didnt help neither. now im out of idea's. maybe its a router incompatibility with halo? my router is a D-Link DI-624 wireless and cable.

i apreciate ur help

finch

what is the IP address of the server when you host? I've heard that people have problems with an IP address beginning with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx. I can't explain why, because my IP address begins with 192 and I don't get serious problems.
