I was wondering if Halo Reach will be the last game for the Halo franchise or will they continue the series? What do you guys thinks?

Wassup?

It's been confirmed that Halo: Reach is BUNGIE's last Halo game. They're selling the whole enchilada to Microsoft and Microsoft is getting 343 Industries. Thats what I heard, anyway, I may be wrong

I'm hoping this is the last of Bungie's Halo games. They need to move on and get more creative ideas out there. Microsoft can probably handle making more games for the Halo universe, just not as well as Bungie can.

As long as Bungie makes more awesome games like Halo I'll be happy.

Im pretty sure they said it was.

Excluding Halo: Pacman Adventures obviously.

Microsoft has actually owned the Halo IP for awhile now, so I doubt this will be the last Halo game ever. Though by all accounts this is going to be Bungie's last Halo game.

No, you honestly will just abandon their biggest money maker since Windows 98?

the TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no, there is too much money to be made with this franchise to just drop it, but i think some new things need to be added like other chaacter stories, different playability by wheather your a spartan, ODST, or just a marine, and a much longer campaign

You do realise that you can't go further than the 60th minute in an hour right?

Yeah ok, maybe not in Canada...

Let me look into my future-telling crystal ball and... oh wait. I don't have a future-telling crystal ball and no one else does either. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

woahh they never said reach would be the last, they just that it would be the last for the console generation, and besides do you really want halo to go? i mean i understand the whole beating i dead horse thing but personally the halo story line intrigues me and captures my attention even more so than the actual gameplay and i would be deeply depressed if that were to stop

They have so many loose ends I doubt they would end it at Reach.

We have Evolved Combat
We have gone to War
We have Finished The Fight
We have Remembered Reach

HALO, the best thing created after the sliced bread.

i dont know, but if they are going to be more, i would not like to see a Halo racing game.

hahah veryy true a racing game would suck, but who would buy it? halo is a game for the hardcore audience of gamers none of its fans would buy that

Personally I think they would be better served by offering the story in terms of further books. The games cater to a select group of Halo fans (majority are there for the gameplay), thus they make the games more for them than the people who are there more for the story. A perfect example of this was Halo2, which had a dramatically cut story with little explanation and several holes. Halo3 did it's best to right the ship, but it still didn't capture people as CE did.
