hi. i just got Halo a couple days ago and installed it (even though i had to go find a better vid-card lol) and it worked fine but then i noticed that everyone is invisible. I only beat the first level on the Pillar of Autumn because i could see the little lights on the conevant guns and the only way i knew my troops were there was because i only saw their targeting systems (the little green rectangles on the heads. Then when i went to multiplayer it was the same. Everyone else was invisible i couldn't see them at all. i could be 2 feet away from them and not know they were there (unless i looked at my radar or put my cursor over them and it turned red. So please help. i've tried reinstalling it and stuff but can't fix that. Any hjelp appreciated. :)

Wow. THAT is an interesting Vid card problem. Alright, here's what I suggest you do. First, post what your card is, then PM Sexy Legs Davis about this, and ask him to view this thread. He'll know what to do.

Hmmm, I have an Nvidia card too and to be honest, thier drivers do seem to suck.

I have found that reverting back to the release of April 2004 has worked a treat for me (although I never had the same problem as you). Give it a go and see what happens. It's fairly easy to find thier archive of old drivers.

I realise that I should make another thread, but having just signed up that isn't a possibility atm.

My problem is this: I see this when I attempt to play online-

http://dace.250free.com/haloservers.JPG

It's obviously a great deal less than what I should be getting, and none of the servers I play on are available.

I have updated to the newest patch, and have a totally legit game and CDKey etc. I did have a image mounted on a drive before, mainly due to laziness of changing CD, but have removed the mounted image and put the CD in only to be confronted with this.

I am thinking maybe the image is still mounted somehow and I'm just too amateur to know, or maybe something else.... please help?

(oh and my connection/firewalls aren't the issue here I'm sure)

i clicked on their products and a list came down with all of their drivers. could you tell me what the name of the old one is? lol. i can't find a page telling me when the drivers came out.

Get a geforce fx card? That card is down near the very bottom of what will play halo.

get an ati card. for some reason, halo is one of the few games that ati outperforms nvidia in.
