This is kind of a random idea. Wouldn't it be cool if you could somehow travel between maps while you're playing a game? [Edited on 07.27.2009 6:44 PM PDT]

I've always wanted a Halo version of Banjo land... probably won't happen outside of forge, and my skills aren't up to the task sadly =(
Posted by: Caseadia31NEW IDEA!! "open world mode" where u go between the maps and u can enteract with, fight enemies with, but not kill ,other players in open world! thx for the idea! No. Silly idea. Nobody treats Halo like facebook or WoW.

Teleporting between maps, or some kind of seamless transition is a cool idea. I think something akin to Left For Dead's style of level transition would make a good style. Make it another option to "horde" mode that's coming out for ODST. Reach could build on what ODST is doing now. Also, s%& the WoW aspect. Halo is about killing sprees and crazy sticks, not collecting items and doing quests.-Arch
It would be kind of cool to teleport to another map.Kind of.

Lol, this isn't Battlefront ES
maby like a new survival and you get points by getting to certain areas in certain maps and a certain time. by survival i meen like major flood or covenet
Perception is everything.
I would love to see this but the problem is how they get it to work...what if you placed a sender...then go to the start menu, and an option would be there saying transit maps. You would then change maps, and be able to place receivers. After you save the map and end the game, any time you want to play you would have to wait for each map to load together as one.
Maybe you could just tailor each map for that mode. For sake of conversation lets call it survival mode. It would definitely be taxing on the xbox & the internet to be loading maps while playing at the same time. If you tailor made the maps a little bit ie:size, then maybe it could be possible for it to be a fluid transition, teleporters or otherwise.-Arch
It would take time to load, but it could be fun.
