Well, the thing about halo 2, was that it was an easy game to play, whether you were good at video games or not, anyone could pick up a controller and play immediately, can you really say the same for all the other video games? While learning curves can keep a game competitive for hardcore players, halo 2 did not cater to a hardcore audiance, it was made for anyone, good or bad at video games to play well immediately.
As for other PC games having "deeper" storylines, is also oppinion, but anyway, our focus is on xbox console games, not PC games.
As for the Live service, again, no one, save Microsoft knows when they will shut down live, besides, xbox live, is probably what's keeping xbox360 users entertained, whenever their 360 console goes RROD, so I personally doubt Xbox live will be shut down anytime soon by microsoft, as whatever new console microsoft makes, may very well break down, and force people to the good old regular xbox era for entertainment, when waiting for repair/replacement on the new xbox consoles, so ask your self, would shutting xbox live be a strategic move for microsoft when their customers are unable to play their new, broken consoles?
As for a sequel, well, that was bound to happen, (You never even bothered to finish the campaign) however, I personally don't care for halo 3, IMO, halo 3 is not worth buying the fail 360 console for that game alone, givin that they warped everything that halo 2 introduced, in favor of a halo 1 feel.
Back on topic, it's worth to note, that bungie did intend to finish the halo story on halo 2, however, microsoft dated for halo 2 to be released, microsoft did not care for how the game would turn out to the fans at the time, all they saw was profit. Bungie does care for the quality of their games, in fact, shortly after halo 3 was released, they made themselves independent of microsoft, after finishing the halo storyline.
As for Halo 2 it may have been disliked by many halo 1 fans, but for a unpolished, CONSOLE game, it was good for it's time, and I still find it's campaign to be a blast, and I while I am anxious for how halo reach will turn out, I still play halo 1 & 2 purely for fun.
While you are finding ways to turn my argument around, I take critisms, and arguements well, but insulting us, and calling us obese fanboys is uncalled for, and nothing short of blind accusations, that will be seen as trolling.
