Bungie didn't set the price for the game, Microsoft did. No, I do not feel ripped off. We have a new campaign, a new co-op mode, and three new maps. (More for those who didn't buy the Legendary or Mythic maps). What more do you want?

Don't forget, the campaign is shorter then Halo 3's...

True, but that doesn't mean it's going to be bad. I'm still going to spend hours playing it and replaying it.

The game is overpriced, imo. For me, this is tricky, because the game isn't quite an expansion, but it's not quite a full game either. It's sort of in-between.

The way to live life is decided by the individual.

I really don't see how we are being ripped off. It's a full game. That is already $60 worthy, then add the second disc. It's definatly worth it, and the special edition adds on less than what a wireless controller costs. So its perfect for people looking for another controller.

Well it doesn't matter really. Let's say an arcade game such as space invader which is the same level over and over again. It's a good game, but it doesn't mean it's worth the same as a version of space invaders that would have multiple levels.

Every time I read something that I think is the stupidest thing ever and something can't replace it, something manages to replace it.

For the 50th time no i don't think bungie is ripping us off if you don't agree with the price the answer is simple don't buy the dam game.
Plz stop posting about the price of ODST just acept what it is.

Post this if your annoyed about people comlaing abot the price of ODST.

Oh thank god, just when I thought we wouldn't have one of these threads for a whole five minutes. You saved us all.

Buy the game because you WANT it, not because of the price, if your really going to be this picky about the price, don't buy it, because you probably don't want to find out what happens to the rookie, you just want to be able to play this game with your friends.

Another good point. I'm not sure I can pose a reasonable argument against the fact. All I can say is that it's still a decent sized campaign for what it is. In the end, it's all a matter of opinion. Then again, we really won't know whether it's worth it or not until after we play it.

I'm hoping. Then again, Firefight might add more then I think.

I don't agree with the price, but I'll still buy it because it's a Halo game.

That's more game than 90% of the $60 software out there. Quit whining b*tch.

Don't forget the Reach beta.

For Tru7h and Honor

it is not hard to get the price just sell some stuff

Volenti Nil Difficile - To the Willing Nothing Is Difficult

ugh. so many threads about the price of the game. i should save what i post on every thread about this. the price is justified. there are many games that are priced at $60 that don't have nearly as much content as ODST does and who cares if it has the maps that you already had. the fact is there are a lot of consumers who don't have xbl and don't have the maps. they threw in the halo 3 mm and all of the maps to appeal to them.

I don't think it's too bad. It comes with a lot of great content that I haven't payed for in Halo 3 (map packs) and a new campaign and a coop mode. If you bought the map packs, you might feel a little ripped off but for everyone else it's a good deal.

  • 07.28.2009 8:08 AM PDT

IM A LEGIT 16

I think it should be an expansion, not a full game. They could make the current ODST package a full game, since it has all of Halo 3 (except for Campaign) in it, but that's is only fair for people without Halo 3, which will make up a % or 2 of the buyers.

We have:
A short Campaign, with a (most likely) boring free roam
Firefight (without matchmaking)
3 New Maps

A good expansion, but not a full game.
Microsoft knew this, so they said to hell with it.
They threw in:
Halo 3 Multiplayer
All Halo 3 Maps
Forge
Theater
Basically Halo 3, without the Campaign

Now that is a great deal for a game!
If most people haven't already bought it.

tl;dr: Yes.

Edit: The Reach Beta is free.
