Ok, after watching the Bungie 'Ten years' video, one thing stuck out at me, well two things but one has no significance.

We see two clips of ODST cutscenes that we've never seen before. At 6:58 of that video, we see the rookie stand up. This is the thing that doesn't matter. What does matter is the clip afterwards.

It shows clearly, Dutch, Mickey, Romeo and The Rookie standing infront of a closing door that appears to slope downwards (I mean the passage, not the door, the door is cleary sloping :P)

What's important about this scene is that it is at NIGHT.

From this I realised that this scene must be from the very close to the end of the game. The Squad aren't going to meet up half way through the game, since we know most of the game is working out what happened to them. At some point they all meet up, this has to be near the end of the game. Thing is, where are Buck and Dare? They aren't there, this makes me think one of two things, either Buck is dead and so is Dare, or Dare betrayed them and Buck is dead.

Either way, I am 99% certain Buck will die in ODST.

1 problem

that's buck not the rookie

believe me i thought the same thing, but it is buck

the rookie has a white stripe on his head, the character in the room has no white stripe.

Ah yes.

Thing is there are two ways of identifying the different ODST's, one of them is the name on their chest plate.

The only one of The Squad to not have his name on his chest plate is The Rookie and there is no name in that video.

1 Different armor

2Rookie has a white stripe on his helmet

3 People have already disscused this and in the cutscene that is Buck.
Your probably right- but I am going to laugh my ass off so hard for at least 30 mins on purpose if he is right in the end. xD

Actually, she does drop with the rest of the ODSTs...

Rewatched it, there was the Rookie thing then the Dutch scene, then the scene I am pointing out, I was going off memory so I forgot about the Dutch scene, no need to go crazy >.>

Yeah it is Buck, the lack of name plate made me sure that it was The Rookie but I guess not.

And yes, I will also laugh for a long time if and when he does die :P

Very cleverly thought out overlord

I also have a friend who thinks that there is flood under New Mombasa.

He is very good at guessing the plot to games even with no evidence whatsoever. I agree with him too because we know ONI knew about the flood before Halo CE and what other reason would ONI have to send a Section 1 operative on a ground op.

Most likely them BEFORE they get dropped. Looks like a Frigate to me.

Ok that's completely wrong since we've seen the beginning cutscene :P

I started a thread on this forum about how I think the flood are going to be somewhere in ODST because of something Brian let slip on a Podcast. Check out that thread for details, but for now I'll say that I have a feeling that there is a big chunk of ODST that Bungie hasn't let slip yet. I like the idea of Flood being somewhere under New Mombasa. The other thing I've been thinking (I have no evidence whatsoever, it's just a hunch) is that the ODST's will leave earth before the end of the game. Part of the feel of a Halo game is traveling from location to location, and seeing new places. I know that ODST is supposed to have a different feel and tell a diferent story, but part of me thinks that Bungie will still throw something else at us that goes beyond what we've been shown so far.

wrong they said it will all take place in new Mombasa and new Mombasa is how you access the missions

Ninjabag the tea-pirates!

I don't want to join your group.

Maybe you find each ODST after each mission that they're in. In one trailer it shows gameplay of 2 ODSTs, although this might be Co-op.
