The one bad thing about ODST is that you can detatch and carry around a turret but you can't dual weild
surely the turret has to be heavier than two weapons put together
i'm not saying that in ODST you have to dual weild i'm just saying that you should be able to dual weild if you can carry around a turret
But apart from that ODST looks amazing and I can't wait for it to be released

Been said before.... TWICE!

Move it along!

nothing bad about Halo 3 ODST ..maybe the only thing that can be bad is the short (nobody knows how long the campaign is) campaign

  • 07.28.2009 8:59 AM PDT

while I think it's just for gameplay reasons, I'm gonna try to put logic into the situation.

You can detach a turret because the base is only loosly connected to the turret itself. You can hold it because, using both hands, you can balance it right. You sacrifice speed too.

But with dual wielding, you can only use one hand per weapon. Many dual wieldable covenant weapons are too large for a marine to hold with one hand. Ones like the SMG have too much recoil to dual wield.

I think the turret thing is only for firefight purposes only

  • 07.28.2009 9:01 AM PDT

I'm pretty sure you can only weild a turret in Firefight.

And dual weilding is a lot more than just holding two weapons in your hand. You have to aim both weapons accurately, ammo count for both weapons, reloading time.

The suits that the ODST's wear along with the mark V armour do not register a second weapon. Thats why.

Hey! Listen! HEY!- The words of Navi

Yet, our ODST's can jump on vehicles and beat the crap outta them also hold the Hammer.

never thought about that

Would you dance for it?

I've always thought the turret was wierd anyway.

Why make it a galtin gun if it has such a slow rate of fire? Oh well.

gameplay>logic

Possibly the best thing

I am flatterd that you botherd to look at my signature.

it is actuly very unprofessional to deul weild...spartans can do it cause there armor allows it.

and ODST would be far more inaccurate so much so it realy wouldent be worth it..

now days we have plenty of small guns like Uzi's...you never see military guys deul wielding them in combat..there is a video on youtube where a US soilder deul wields two riffles but only for a short time and he isent in combat...it's just a hell of alot easyer to aim then it is to spray and pray.

Fact 2: European guys are hotter

I guess I can understand if you don't want to make out with guys in the US if they're so ugly, you should just say so though.

Did you even take into context the skill that it takes to weild two weapons and fire accuratly?

honestly im not really shure why it matters. would you rather dual wield or turret? seems like an easy question to me. anyone i ever play with almost never dual wields anyway because most of the weapons you can dual with aren't that great of a weapon if you ask me. it just depends how good you are with a weapon. if your good then it shouldnt really make i differance what gun you have.

Bungie makes ODST. You don't, and you can't do anything about.

  • 07.28.2009 9:59 AM PDT

In my opinion dual wield wasnt all too great anyway

I know it's not but I'm just wondering why you can't dual weild at least pistols

personaly in a real fight..I wouldent want to deul wield. i shoot to actuly hit the target so i use two hands on one weapon you get better aim and control over the fire arm it's also harder for some one to take it from you.
