I'm kinda confused. If Reach occurred before CE...then what about the planet at the end of Halo 3? Also, if Bungie decides the time line of Reach be before CE.. then wouldn't alot of things have to go back in time? Examples: We fight Elites instead of Brutes? I'm a noob so don't flame...just explain. Thanks.

Oh yes I did!

Think Halo 2

Mind, body and soul, possibly my sole properties

Well it's actually in the future, but it takes place before Halo CE. Just read the first few books, or all of them, it clarifies a lot more than you think.

before CE. The planet at the end of the legendary ending is NOT reach.

Yes, the canon will pre-date Halo 1 by about 10 seconds.

However, the end planet is a mystery. It looks like reach to me though.

Reach will occur about 20 days before Halo 1 begins. The planet at the end of Halo 3 may be a teaser for a Halo 4 videogame, novel, or the Halo movie, but it has nothing to do with REACH.

Brutes were not in Halo 1 because only a portion of the Covenant fleet from Reach followed the PoA; the fleet which stayed at Reach may have had Brutes in it. The Spartan Laser wasn't in Halo 1 because the Spartans' weapons lockers were destroyed before the PoA left Reach.

They were destroyed? But when Lt. Mckay raided PoA to recover suplies its not possible they found other weapons? Example: 50mm Auto Turrets.

Well, the fall of Reach takes place in the future. Unless you have a Delorean that is capable of time travel and went to the future to year 2552, then it can't be past or present.

Nah, I'm just kidding but Reach takes place not to long before the discovery of the first Halo ring. Which means Halo: Reach will take place before Halo: CE.

So past.... I guess you can say.... If you are talking in relativity to Halo 3..... or Halo CE and Halo 2 for that matter.... yeah past....

The only weapons that they could get were the weapons in the Marines Lockers because they survived the fight between the covenant carrier that shot projectiles at the speed of light which destroyed basically anything in it's path. The levels in which the Spartans Lockers were on was destroyed in the battle. But there were plenty of the Marines weapons on the PoA at the time.

My advice is to read the book Halo: Fall of Reach it's pretty much the game itself

The Ban Hammer is all that was and all that will be! The Ban Hammer is time and space, life and death! The Ban Hammer can see into your mind! The Ban Hammer can see into your soouull....

Reach is the planet where the biggest naval space fleet is, and also the planet where the Spartan II's (Master Chief John 117) were raised, trained, and pretty much developed. It's also a hidden base for ONI. Now its one of the biggest turning points in the war, even though humanity was always on the losing side the begin with, it's where they lose their best strategical position in the outerworlds. Because of the COLE Protocol, they spend a majority of their time trying to destroy data and A.I.'s that would lead the covenant back to earth. but in reality the covenant came to Reach to find something else, hidden below the surface.

The Pillar of Autumn leaves Reach within the first 48hours of first contact battle. It slipspace jumps to the first Halo, but the war continues on Reach for a lot longer time. About 20 days.

That is what happens on Reach. the rest is covered in the books, and will be in the game.

Before CE just read one of the books and you'll know.

The marine/ODST weapons lockers were intact, but in The Flood it is mentioned that the Spartans weapons lockers were destroyed, but others were intact.

uh...there are no weapons that travel at the speed of light. The covenant weapons are plasma balls that have a shield around them so they don't dissapate in spaced... also, the covenant can control remotely which direction the projectiles could curve.

That's why the plasma pistol for example can turn and track someone.

later cortana uses the technology of the plasma canons on a cruiser and cuts other ships in half like a plasma knife through a buttery ship.

He was talking about the energy projectile not about their basic plasma turrets. The covenants energy projectile moves so fast and is so strong, because of the fact that when they fire it, all of their systems shut down for a short amount of time . Thats how come they only used the projectile as a sniper weapon, cuz if they used it at close range they would get killed before they could even move again.

The Spartan laser travels at the speed of light. Lasers are concentrated beams of light.

Brutes were used in Contact Harvest, before Reach!

The battle of Reach is before Halo CE, and it can't be the planet at the legendary ending in halo 3 cause Reach was like 99% glassed, read the Fall of Reach.

reach and the planet at the end of halo 3 are completely different, we fight elites because they held the military leading position at the time, the timeline for reach was established when CE came out and it also takes place right before CE, and you can always see more at the various halo timelines.
