If Bungie does put Natal in, the features will probably be limited compared to the possibilities of other games. And yes, on the Wii, if you use the Wii Zapper, you do have to aim.

Here's what I think we can do with Natal in Reach.

1. Scan your own custom emblems for Multiplayer.

2. Custom Flags for Capture the Flag game modes.

3. Scan your own custom clan emblem if clans are enabled again for Reach.

4. Scan custom Forge objects

5. Use to melee or jump

Those are all the possibilites I can think of for Natal if it is used in Reach.

6. Use the turret on the vehicles

7. Driving the different vehicles.

8. New melee combos

9. Use hand symbols to communicate

I think the answer will come when they find out the performance of the camera. Traditional MoCap studios use many cameras to capture motion. I'm afraid the technology isn't there yet. Second or third editions of the Natal program will be closer to matching our expectations.

You know... the thing behind Project Natal isn't a new concept for Microsoft. They have actually done something that in the past. The Xbox Live Vision Cam is basically an early version of Natal. I think there were one or two games that existed that lets you use the Xbox Live Vision cam as a controller and it tracks your movements.

Obviously Natal is much more complex than what the Xbox Live Vision Cam can do.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Natal can act as a wireless microphone?

There's your Halo: Reach / Natal integration.

that be cool but Microsoft would have to look at the negative parts like inappropriate thing people would upload in natal that would offend lots of people
so i doubt this would happen

Exactly! Which is why those who want to use it can use it and those who don't can just stick with the controller.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Pure speculation. Let me reiterate what I've said on countless forums before:

Games will be made for Natal, not Natal for games.

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

I remember playing Call of Duty 3 with a Wii-Mote. It wasn't that fun. My family has this problem with shaky hands, so using long-range rifles was a pain.

Golf Wang. Brony.

Can't you use controllers in conjunction with Project Natal? I would assume a feature like that would be successful...

If its in then the game will be absolutely, positivly ruined. 1st person shooters+motion senseorz=FAIL OF EPIC PROPORTIONS

It wouldn't really fail. Take the Nintendo Wii for example. Shooter games can use motion sensors on that console and for some games it works really well.

there are no shooters that work well with motion sensors.

The only console shooter that worked well without a regular controller was duck hunt, and that didn't use motion sensor tech.

Even modern arcade games like Time Crisis 4 use the same tech as duck hunt because motion sensing isn't precise enough and has terrible lag.

although natal did look to have a great response time they would have to correct the accuracy problems before any hardcore gamers will take it seriously. and the majority of halo fans the are extremely hardcore so it is doubtful they will use natal in multiplayer.

i would like to see them use natal for forge though, imagine using your hands to push, pull, shrink, expand, and rotate different pieces of scenery. I would feel godlike building my fortress, tossing warthogs and tanks, and manipulating the environment with some simple hand gestures.

it would be kinda cool to use natal to navigate the menus but i would get lazy after the 1st view days and go back to the controller.

It is a great community for the hardcore gamer.
Tell them Mongerty sent you

What is to stop them from putting in sections of motion control for the single player?

For example, you need to open a door, so you just have to hold out your hand and turn.

Maybe you are on a training course, and need to climb over a wall. Just do a climbing motion with your arms.

What about picking up guns, grenades, and equipment?

Getting into a car or activating an object?

Switching weapons with an ally.

Activating a control panel.

Basically, what I am saying is that Natal can replace RB for the single player in many instances, but it is not something that would be required. Think more in terms of that, and it seems very possible.

Also, there is a chance for interactive cut-scenes as well. MS would be crazy to pass up on the opportunity to include Natal, but stupid to make it required.

If they did implement Natal it wouldnt affect gameplay in anyway, bungie wouldnt risk it. Instead i think it could be used to scan not only symbols. How about your face? they do it with rainbow 6 and other games, scan your face and make your own spartan? or when talking to your team mates your head turns?

They wouldn't use it in order to drive or anything as multiplayer would become unbalanced, unless it was single player only.

Could be used for a cover system? move head up and down? just ideas

I,m the lord of the covenant.

As i recall Natal tracks face movements. So maybe when you don't have a helmet on in the game others can see you face move the same way you do.

Just another thing you could do with natal.
