Bring Back Rocket Race!!!

how the heck will we move?

It's probably going to end up being a combination of the xbox 360 controller and Natal

i actually tried waving my arm to throw a grenade while playing Halo 3 today

and it got old after one try

Well ummm... that's because yo uwere just waving your arm.
Trick someone into thinking you have it and mimick what he's doing with the controller. They'd like it. It's about proper implementation, Reach will a tmost use it for side things, not the core gameplay

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Project Natal=Epic Warthog Driving Sequence.

Haha, you brother comes by, slaps the controller out of your hands onto the sofa, and your hog goes careening off of a cliff.

Natal doesn't use controllers, you would be holding an imaginary steering wheel

As i recall Natal tracks face movements. So maybe when you don't have a helmet on in the game others can see you face move the same way you do.

Just another thing you could do with natal.

tea bagging just got that much more interesting lol

LOL You wouldn't need to t bag when you can fling a body around or punch it in the face or the croch! XD

The smartest thing Bungie could do with Natal is to have it as an option,

You could use voice commands to command your squad to move up, or have them fall back, that would be epic!

You could also use your hand as a gun if natal was that hardcore, but i doubt it is that high in tech thus far.

All i personally want is the option to have natal, even in just a small sequence.

Oh, it IS that high tech, I watched a guy play Burnout Paradise with Natal (and that's a 2-3 year old game) and even though it requires sharp pinpoint controls, it worked PERFECT.

So your saying we could hold up our hand as a gun, and when we "pull the trigger" it could fire our gun in game? i don't think it can track tiny finger motions. But i don't know for sure

If it did, Halo could become the sweetest game EVER with Natal if it could track your fingers! The possiblities are endless!

That depends on whether or not your other hand blocks the finger. It may be tough to get used to at first... Maybe the game will come with an AR or BR controller with buttons to use for any limited actions (like changing grenade types)

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

The problem with reach and natal isn't natal's system, (in fact I can't see a problem with incorporating it with an fps game) it's the people's reluctancy with trusting it. That and having to actually pay for natal.

I am getting Natal, and I will try Reach with it (actually, since Burnout worked on it, Im guessing Halo 3 is compatible also).

I think that would be great, but the whole point of Natal is to not have any controller. That's also why i think a 360 controller/Natal mixture won't happen.

I think Microsoft and Bungie need to really use the voice control. It would be amazing to tell the left flank to move up or anything like that.

I'd love to use it with Halo 3! any fps would/is going to blow my mind away to play! I can't wait to buy it!

Does anyone have any news on the price? On a youtube clip it said it was going to be 99.99$ USD, but i don't know.

I'd definitely pay that, but it might be more

The whole point with natal is to have a controller-free environment. But to solve your problem, instead of having a finger pull the trigger have your whole hand pull the trigger.

I agree about the whole point of Natal is to be controller-free, i don't understand how you could use your whole hand to pull the trigger and still have something that has a point to aim.

Maybe, you could pull the trigger with the bottom three fingers of your hand, a mix of both our ideas.

If Natal worked for a game that was 2-3 years old. Then it probably will somehow be compatible with any game including Halo 3. Although, I think it's compatibility when it comes to Halo 3 will be kind of like the Guitar Hero Controller in Halo 3. Pretty limited....

You really wouldn't need to interact with the marines in the game. It's not a squad-shooter or anything. Like all the Halo games, it's just a First-Person Shooter so the role of the marines is very minor.

ಠ_ಠ

There are 2 times when a man doesn't understand a woman - before marriage and after marriage.

I think small and easy things would be good (ie interacting with some of the menus with your hand, or looking around during a cutscene by moving your head), but personally I don't think anything major (like actually trying to aim by using your hands) would work correctly

  • 08.01.2009 10:50 AM PDT

it was already confirmed that bungie was not going to use project natal in their halogames, but were interested in it and were looking forward to do something with it. forget it, maybe for a spin off though.

Didn't you read the news article though? a Bungie Employee commented that it's possible Halo: Reach may have Natal. Nothing has been confirmed yet though, but like Bungie said, it's possible.

I dont think project natal will be part of halo reach becaus halo 3:ODST comes with a multiplayer beta for it
In a video for Natal they showed someone playing Burnout (an Xbox original) using it.
