Though what you say makes sense, these ideas will most likely not be implemented. Sorry!

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

"As far as the dialogue goes, we were trying to get a bit of hard-boiled, thriller, femme fatale and square-jawed gumshoe; a little touch of that," he said. "That most clearly comes through in the dialogue between Buck, your squad leader, and Veronica, this shadowy naval intelligence officer."Anyone else catch this? Dare's got name!

You need to scroll down all the way.

There is a small NBC.com video which shows Jimmy Fallon playing Burnout on the Late Show.

They should make 2 versions one for normal xbox 360 play and the other for project natal.

Here's an obvious idea or two. The thing about Natal is that you can't really do too much, like have your hands be a gun. It just doesn't make to play an actually fun hardcore game with that kind of wii-like shenanigans. What does make sense would be to add a few bells and whistles to the pre-existing Halo experience.

Three examples:
1) If Halo: Reach expands on the ODST system of using maps and waypoints and interfacing with terminals and stuff, then Natal can be used to with hand gestures reviewing maps and things seamlessly with gameplay. So, the game isn't just shooting and grenades (fun) but also strategy and so forth and calling in air strikes with hand gestures and HUD controls while in gameplay (more fun).
2) Voice commands. I've seen this on this board. That's a cool sounding way of commanding a squad.
3) SWAT-like hand gestures: spec ops hand signals for squad combat. That would be cool!

This kind of thing would work fine, adding strategic gameplay elements on a hand-gesture level with tactical gameplay using the controller.

It seems like a really good use of Natal. If implemented in Reach, and done right, every new FPS with any worthwhile strategic element will require both gamepad tactical control with hand gesture strategic control.

It would extend beyond the FPS genre too. Precise controls would require a gamepad, more general controls that offer more variety (subject to user's gestures) would use Natal.

It would finally be an answer to Wii (which seems stuck on Wii-Sports).

Well, it was in the article you linked to.

Oel ngati kameie, oe omum nga, oe ’efu nga.

why do people keep using words like "force" and "required"
are you all stupid, of course you will still be able to use the regular controller, microsoft isnt dumb
they understand that there are a lot of people who will not use project natal, but there are also alot of people who will use project natal. IMO i would love project natal for games like Madden, Need For Speed, or UFC, but i would love to use a controller for games like Halo, CoD, and TF2.
so think a little bit before you say its dumb cause not everyone wants to be forced or required to buy it so they can play, i mean really people. you have a brain, use it :)

It's cherry, tastes like strawberry, looks like watermelon, and you think it's raspberry just because.

Using Project Natal with an FPS would be fail. There would be so many problems. For instance, how would you walk/run/back up/jump/turn/shoot? If you walk/run forward, you'll hit the TV. If you back up, you'll run out of room eventually. And jumping would just be retarded. Just jumping in place, banging the floor, killing your feet, and getting shin splints. I suppose for walking/running/backing up you could just do it in place, but there would probably be many errors. Also, when you run, both feet leave the ground for a second, so Natal might mistake that for jumping. Turning could also be solved pretty easily I guess, just turn your torso some, but this would lead to turning when you don't want to. And the big one: SHOOTING. You need a button for shooting. I doubt that Natal will be able to pick up the very small movement of pulling a trigger very accurately. Reloading would be a bit of a problem as well. What would you do, go through a different action for every weapon? Project Natal is great for games where your character stays in one place and doesn't have to do anything other than drive, kick, punch, duck, or head-butt. And yes, I do know that they did the skateboarding thing where the person dragged their foot on the floor and jumped to do some sort of trick, but the person wasn't walking, and jumping still makes a lot of noise (unless you have shag carpet). What are you gonna do, put Master Chief on a Covenant Hover Board or something? No. So, in conclusion, Project Natal+Not walking=Win; Project Natal+FPS=Fail. It wouldn't even be good for rail shooters, because you have the problem of shooting. I guess you should just make bang noises to shoot, and when you have the crosshair on someone's head, just scream, "BOOM! Headshot!"

Don't get cocky now!

Natal is to FPS as Power Glove is to NES.

I didn't quote your wall, but I'll address it. Here's some solutions for your "problems":
movement- have a hotspot on your floor that your camera targets, and when you move forward (you just need to be in between the spot and your t.v., you don't need to keep moving forward) your character will move forward. Running- just get closer to your t.v.

Jump- small movements magnified into larger ones. Make the action to jump, but don't jump (up and down motion) and your character will jump.

Turning- you answered this. It's not hard to stay in place. Your torso won't magically turn by itself, it faces the way you aim. If the enemy is on the side of your screen you will turn to shoot him, right? Then you just shoot. It's like actually turning. You turn until you face the desired direction.

Shooting- Not that big of a problem. When they showed the demo of the kids playing a game, many of them got in eachother's way, but the system had no problem recognizing movement. Natal can read facial expressions, so it has a damn good camera. But if you want, you can use multiple fingers to pull the trigger.

Reloading- reach for your waist I guess.

So in conclusion, I disagree with you.

For driving with Project Natal, you could always use similar controls as Racing Games. We've all seen videos of racing games like Burnout Paradise using Project Natal. So there you go, all the vehicle problems in Halo have been solved for Natal.

Natal is able to track full body motion. Moving your finger will definitely be detected so shooting a gun shouldn't be too difficult.

As for walking, you might actually be able to use movements similar to driving. After all, when you use the controller, walking and driving use similar controls. So Natal should be able to do the same with walking and driving.

True.

So now Halo parties will consist of those sitting down, and those waving their arms around like maniacs in front of their TVs =P.

Oel ngati kameie, oe omum nga, oe ’efu nga.

i agree with A1N2G3U4S to an extent, it wouldnt be a total fail, seeing as how there are multiple ways to fix those issues, remember, nothings really impossible. personally though, i wouldnt use natal with a FPS due to the reason that its not simple. oh yes its simple to step forward, move your finger, turn your torso, or move your hand to your hip, or even jump, but all those things put into one
can get very confusing considering that you dont actually have a gun in your hand, or actually in the battlefield, or you dont actually have a grenade on your belt. of course they could do things like saying grenade and it switches to that so that when you make a throw action it registers and your character throws the nade, but really, does anyone want to say stuff unless they are talking to their teammates :)

The easiest solution is just to make Halo: Reach compatible with either Project Natal or the xbox 360 controller. Whatever features Halo: Reach may offer for Natal, they will most likely be pretty limited.

Both of those made me Lmbo soooo hard. A group of my friends got into a huge water balloon fight n uh parking lot n me n my friend chased down this girl (my bestie :b) n he hit her in the head n goes "BOOM! HEADSHOT!!" I laughed sooo hard... (Btw I'm 17, it was at a party, I'm not 6 haha) But back on topic natal will never be the main controller for an FPS, it just won't happen. Give it up.

boo

it should definitely be incorporated, this way fat kids are at a disadvantage. Fat kids have trouble moving and should appear as larger objects on screen. There will be no fat 50's. Soon, these frustrated, sweaty fat kids will start to exercise and eat healthy until they reach their 50. Within a year Halo Reach will have solved the obesity epidemic. The only problem, bellimic girls and anerexics will all go pro.
