It takes a real man to back down from a fight, but it takes a spartan to finish it!
For starters lets take a look at what the developers tried to do with halo 3's armor setup.
I'm going to start out with the Spartans, seeing as they have the majority of the armors.
Mark VI
Mark V
CQB Armor
EOD Armor
EVA Armor
Scout Armor
Hayabusa Armor
ODST Armor
Rogue Armor
Security Armor
Katana Armor
Recon Armor
Now time for the Elite Armor Permutation
Combat Armor
Assault Armor
Fight Armor
Commando Armor
Ascetic Armor
Now Bungie did a great job with allowing players to choose what they look like in multiplayer.
Now is Bungie's chance to raise the bar for Reach.
They need to make way more Armor Permutations.
I think the Spartans should have somewhere around 20-25 different choices and the Elites should have somewhere around 15-20. This would give the player a much more variety of armors to choose from.
The multiplayer should have a Game Type editor, kinda like forge, except you can put objectives for teams, set a time for events to happen. (Example: When the time reaches 5 minutes a weapon drop will land near one main point on the map.) They can also add scenery to the maps, like destroyed cars, knocked over trees, dead bodies, etc... The last thing the editor should allow people to do is add NPCs (Non Player Characters) to the field. Things as simple as a scared civilian or a soldier to help out in the battle. There will be of course a limit to how many NPCs and scenery you can have per map.
I don't think reach need a map editor because I liked Forge because it challenged people to use their imagination. However there is room for improvement. Like being able to snap on objects to each other, Also make things snap to the ground as well.
The melee combat in Halo 3 is fine and all, but how about this idea. When a player is in your face about to wack you, you can press a button to grab their weapon and go into a mini game where you tap the A button as fast as you can. Who ever gets the blue bar up fast takes the other person weapon and hits them in the face for an insta-kill. The person who is attacking will just finish the attack, which is also an insta-kill. If players do not want to have this in game they can simply turn it off in the options menu before starting the match.
This is all the ideas I have for now, feel free t0 add any ideas you want. Thanks :D.
