Subject: Proof I know the planet at the end of Halo 3 and it isn't Reach

Look at the planet at the center of the ark photo and zoom in on the planet in the center of the ark and you can see it has Earth like qualities (above and below the center of the planet because the middle looks like lava or something) just like The planet at the end of Halo 3 and we all know the ark didn't make it and neither did the chief and cortana

And for all the people saying "It's Reach,It's Reach because they both have the symbols"
The symbols on Reach are city lights if you look closely. The lights on The Halo 3 planet were arranged to make some symbols which aren't random like reach's lights just look at the halo 3 planet picture

I tell me if you agree or disagree with my theory

The planet at the centre of the ark

The planet at the end of Halo 3

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

The planet at the center of the Ark (Or more simply "The Foundry" No longer bears atmosphere, nor is it populated. It is harvested by a large variant of sentinels [not enforcers] for resources to create forerunner planetoids [such as Halos, or Shield Worlds]). The planet at the Halo 3 Legendary Ending (I'm going to call Legend) Is not the Foundry. Mind you, I do not believe that it is Reach either, the planet is actually near a blue Nebula with a constellation of stars. I believe this constellation is the Lights of Sangheilios, and that planet IS Sangheilios.

Considering we don't know what Sangheilios looks like JUST that there is a nearby constellation of stars. My theory is perfectly possible.

Lets see you come up with anything better.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

In the Terminals, I don't know if you've read of the Precursor Rainbow World. A string of worlds created by the mythological Precursors that the Forerunners (those who believed in the Mantle) worshipped.
The Didact sought the Precursors out and wished to "follow in their footsteps", he disappeared after supposedly activating the Ark. It can be assumed he found the world and exists in harmony away from the dangers of the Flood etc.

Now Mendicant Bias sabotaged the Portal systems, so he had some control over it. Bias speaks of wishing for redemtion when communicating with him in the final Terminal.
By sending John to the Rainbow World to meet his Master, this proves he has changed and can at least partially redeem himself in the eyes of the Forerunners for betraying them.

*

And we do know what Sangheilios looks like. In the Halo 3 Collectors Edition you get the small booklet detailing the races and the planets.
Sangheilios is very earth-like in appearance but a little more barren, it isn't metallic.

I have uncovered Sangheilos. It's a wasteland world. The planet at the cliffhanger conclusion, from Halo 3, appears particularly Forunner in appearance.........
The Lights of Sangheilos are produced by their trinary star system; Urs, Fied, and Joori.

This, in addition, has a potential of being Sanghielos. I deem the initial one to be Sangheilos, however. It appears more desolate, and the temperatures on Sangheilos vary from 23F to 132.8F. The planet comprises of an 8.132 billion populace.

Reach is an Earthlike planet as well, and alot of people are confusing IT with the Legendary planet. (Also, those lights could just be Sangheili buildings, does it not make sense for them to build with similar technologies of the Covenant?)

As well as this, the planet was in the dark, you can't tell whether or not it is metallic, only that it has atmosphere, and is populated by an advanced race (possibly the Sangheili).

One more thing I would like to add is that both of those planet pictures look fan-made and cannot be used as accurate representations of something we have never seen before in-canon.

Then allow me to show you the Legendary Planet picture...

A bad quality pic but the best I could find.

You can tell that the planet IS metallic in structure and looks nothing like Sangheilios.

Here is a better quality picture Anyway, I suppose you could say that it looks metallic... Though in the top right corner of the screenshot you can see the constellation I was talking about. 2 of the 3 stars in that constellation are clearly visible. (also, any planet, if the technology of a race on that planet is high enough, in theory could come to look like that after the centuries of building with that technology. This is a level of technology the Covenant, and again the Sangheili, possess.)

After looking at your picture again, I still say it looks like a highly populated regular planet, with centuries of construction using High end technology. Though it also could be one of these "Rainbow Planets"

No Covenant world look like that. More likely Forerunner (Shield World?) or my Precursor theory.

Isn't covenant technology based on foreunner technology

  • 07.29.2009 1:28 PM PDT

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Like you said, it is based but adapted and isn't identical. If it was, the Covenant would use different weapons as the Forerunners used heat rather than plasma. The Covenant didn't create High Charity, it was created by the Forerunners.

No, the Covenant didn't create the Deadnaught, the prophets, however, created High Charity as a new home world for them after running away from their Home Planet during the Prophet War. (otherwise, the interior would NOT be purple.)

Its prabably another Shield World like Onyx and the one in Halo Wars

Ah yes, sorry, I remembered that High Charity was created as a symbol of peace between the Sangheili and San 'Shyuum and as a new home for the Reformists.

I guess I was unaware of the internet community, and its citizens excommunicated to the flood.

Or you can just use common sense and say something like this....

If it was Reach Cortana would have said something about it instead of pointing out the fact that nobody is around and they wont get rescued for years...Need another reason? The planets' not a burning fireball. Still another? there's no debris from a massive battle. Believe in that stupid time travel theory? Wheres the orbital guns?

you mean like coruscant in star wars?.... could be possible since sanghielios' population is 8 billion, and it's smaller than earth (well according to halopedia =/)

Similar, yes.

The Surface of Sangheilios would be built up of stone, riddled with powerful Keeps, and some small pre-Covenant villages. While stretching higher into the sky, bright purple and blue cities light up the night.

I'm not saying definitely, but it is a possibility that has been completely ignored by the masses.

I doubt Sangheilios would bear the forerruner symbol representing the Halo array...
