Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

Part One

Former Shipmaster Drugo walked down the corridors of the Sacred city High Charity. He had been called to attend a meeting with the Prophets. He was being punished. He had lost his entire company in his last encounter with the Humans, then fled due to his cowardice. He regretted it now. Regretted retreating, regretted losing his soldiers due to his mistakes, and regretted ever dishonoring himself.

He arrived at the Sacred room of the Prophets. The Honor guards looked at him in disgust as they let him pass. Drugo felt guilt sweep over him. The Prophets watched him as he came forward. He had been given the dishonor of being naked. His armor was stripped from him and, as was his weapons and all other possesions. He kneeled before the holy Prophets of Truth, Regret, and Mercy.

"Rise, Drugo." Truth said. He did as commanded.

"We have been discussing your dishonor and failure among our sacred Covenant," The Prophet of Mercy informed. Drugo's mandibles tightened.

"And what have you concluded, my Liege?" Drugo asked, already knowing the answer.

"At first, we came to the most logical conclusion. Your death." Regret added. Drugo hung his head in shame. "However," He said. "After much thought we decided we will give you a chance to redeem yourself." He finished. Drugo's heart raced.

"Yes, anything, noble Prophets! I will do whatever it is you desire!" He said, kneeling once more.

"Good. And so you shall. Rise... noble Ossoona." Regret said. Drugo rose, with a surprising look across his face. "You will redeem yourself... eventually. You will fight on the battlefiled once more. Once you have been killed... your honor will be restored.

Drugo walked through the corridors of the Holy city with his head held high. Unggoy and Sangheili watched as he strode in his newly found suit of armor. The armor of the Arbiters. Now, he, like the previous Arbiters before him, will die only to find honor in death. He had been ordered to report to Ultra Zel'tumee.

When he arrived at the barracks, the Ultra was going over the plans with his fellow Sangheili.
"We will take two seperate Phantoms to this location," he said, pointing at a holographic map in the center of the room. "Once here, we will split up into two groups. After that, we'll both advance towards an Alien outpost at this location." He instructed, pointing at the holographic map once more. "Are there any questions?" He asked. The Sangheili remained silent. "Good." He said.

Drugo walked towards the Ultra. He admired his Golden armor. He had once beared it, too. Now he was forced to wear the armor of the Arbiter. Though most Covenant envied him for his position, he only despised himself. It was a constant reminder of this failure.
"The Prophets have asked of me that I accompany you," He told Zel'tumee. The Sangheili fixed his eyes on him.

"Ah... so, they sent the mighty Arbiter?" He asked. Drugo nodded. "Well. We could use any help we can gather, Arbiter. We shall begin the assault within the next thirty units. I recomend visiting the armory and grabbing your preffered weapons." He suggested. The Abriter nodded once more.

"I thank you for the advice." He implied, "But I am already carrying what I require." Drugo informed him, nodding towards the Plasma rifle and Energy sword holstered on his two thighs.

Zel'tumee nodded. "Then we are ready."

Drugo stared out the open side of the Phantom. He unspected the scenery. It was not much unlike his home planet. It had less exotic plants, of course, and a bluer sky. Zel'tumee interrupted his thoughts.

"Are you ready?" He asked. Drugo nodded.

"This is my duty." He simply replied.
Within the next few seconds, the Phantom came to a stop. The Sangheili inside gathered around the grav lift and went down two at a time. Zel'tumee and Drugo exited together.

The fifteen Sangheili divided themsleves as equally as they could, and went off in different directions. The plan was to invade the Human outpost from two different sides at once. Zel'tumee and Drugo remained in the same group, then pushed onward with the other remaining Sangheili. The Jungle was thick, with many trees and bushes.

"How much further?" Drugo asked once they had been traveling for about an hour.

"We are nearly there, my friend," Zel'tumee replied, leaping over a toppled down tree. "Ah, you see?" He said, pointing in the distance. "There is their base, now."

Drugo looked, and spotted a base in the distance. It was still difficult to see due to the trees and plants in the way. "Then let us waste no time."

The Sangheili advanced. When they came to the end of the jungle, just yards away from the stone walls of the base, they halted.

"Engage active camoflauge," Zel'tumee ordered. "I apologize, noble Arbiter. Your camoflauge system is not as complex as ours." He said, gravely. Drugo already knew this.

"I will use whatever time I have." He replied, then cloaked himself. The Sangheili immidiately sprinted towards the walls, taking out two of the guards at the gate with their blades.

"We have arrived at our destination, are you in position?" Zel'tumee asked over the COM channel.

"Negative!" A Sangheili responded. Drugo could hear gunshots in the background. "We were ambushed in the jungle! I've lost over half of my squad... there's a trio of humans here! In strange greenish armor, we have to retreat- Gah!" He roared.

"Respond!" Zel'tumee ordered. But there was no response.

Drugo's cloak failed him, revealing himself. He put his back against the stone wall. The Humans were still unaware of him. "Shall we wait?" He asked.

Zel'tumee shook his head. "No," He replied. "We must do this alone."

Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

Part Two

Drugo waited for his cloaking generator to recharge, then nodded at Zel'tumee.

"Minors, approach the gate! Place the trip mines!" Zel'tumee ordered. Two Minors pulled up to the gate, clad in blue armor. They placed the mines, then retreated out of the blasts way
"Detonate it." Zel'tumee commanded, and so they did. The gate was enveloped in an organge blossom. The Sangheili immidiately rushed through the gate.

Drugo activated his camoflauge, then ran around to flank the Humans. He spotted two machine gun nests. A fine target. His fellow Sangheili had already opened up fire with their Plasma rifles and Carbines, so their camoflauge was rendered useless.

Drugo's generator failed him, right was he pulled up to one of the machine gun nests. Rounds bounced off his energy shields. Drugo brought up his Plasma rifle, then sent four bolts into the gunners torso. He fell to the ground, screaming in pain. Drugo grabbed the pathetic lifeform by the throat, then drew his blade. The Marine watched helpless as Drugo's sword tore through his flesh like paper.

Zel'tumee pulled away from cover, and shot towards a couple of Humans. The shots impacted one of the three marines, ending his life. The other two marines decided to pull back.
"Pursue them!" Zel'tumee signaled at his fellow Sangheili. They drew away from cover, rifles leveled.

Drugo took cover behind a few sandbags while the remaining machine gun nest pinned him down. He withdrew from cover, and rushed the nest, dodging a few bullets along the way. The gunner took down his shields entirely, but the hard metal of the armor still resisted the weak projectiles. He pulled up to the machine gun, knocked it away, then shot two bolts into the marines head. He spat in disgust at the vile being.

Zel'tumee pushed another human out of the way, crushing his skull with his heel while it was lying on the ground. A Sangheili minor pulled up beside him. "You, take two other Minors and get inside the Human barracks! Destroy anyone who might be residing inside them." He instructed. The Minor nodded, then ran to the other Sangheili.

"Ultra, are you still alive?" A voice broke over the COM channel.

"Yes, all of our Sangheili are here and intact. Where is your attack group? What happened?" Zel'tumee questioned.

"We were ambushed by three humans in strange armor. We managed to get away - they're pursuing us as we speak. We're headed for the outpost to aid you with the attack." He answered.

"Make haste, or their won't be any glory for you. We're almost finished here." Zel'tumee replied, shooting down a retreating human.

Drugo pulled up besides Zel'tumee. "I've taken care of the gun emplacements. Are we almost through here?" Drugo questioned.

"Yes, noble Arbiter. Most of the bastard humans are slain. All that remains is to kill the stragglers." He informed. Drugo nodded.

"Then let us waste no time." He replied, walking towards the barracks. There was no need to rush - victory was imanent.

Within the next units all remaining humans were bound and placed on their knees in front of Ultra Zel'tumee. Four bastard marines. Drugo folded his arms as he watched, along with the six other Sangehili. They had only lost one warrior in the fight.

"Mighty Arbiter," Zel'tumee called. Drugo fixed his gaze on him.

"Yes, what is it you require?" He asked.

"Would you do us the honor of disposing of these filthy cur?" Zel'tumee asked, standing aside.
Drugo nodded, and slowly walked towards the first of the four marines. He spat out blood, and watched Drugo with eyes of hatred.

Drugo drew his blade, and dug it into the humans torso. He moved to the next one, and repeated the process. As with the third. He was about to dispose of the fourth, until a round pinged off of his energy shield, fully depleting it. Drugo cursed under his breath, then slowly turned. In the distance he spotted three humans clad in strange green armor. He stared in, not maving at all.

Zel'tumee looked towards them, too. "Those are the bastards who killed our brethren!" He shouted. The Sangheili drew their weapons. Drugo remained standing, unmoving. The three Humans fired off more rounds, killing two Sangheili, and just missing Drugo's skull. He activated his camoflauge.

"Kill the bastards!" Zel'tumee ordered, letting plasma fly from his rifle. The Sangheili under his command let plasma fly from theirs as well.

Drugo pulled up behind one of the strange humans, and was about to burry his blade into it's back, until he turned around, spraying rounds into Drugo's torso. He swung his blade, but the human leaped out of his attack with extreme speed. Drugo was astonished by this humans agility.

Another human came behind Drugo, and popped rounds into his back. Drugo turned around in surprise, and swung his blade. It hit the human in his torso, scraping the green armor he wore, and sending him flying backwards onto the floor.
"Damn you!" Drugo roared, as the two others suppressed him. He had no choice but to retreat.

The Sangheili shot at their newly found enemies, but the humans were to quick and too smart. They instantly took cover in the brush, evading the Sangheili's eye sight. They payed undivided attention, keeping their rifles leveled at the bushes and trees. Suddenly, rounds tore through the bushes, landing bullets into three Sangheili's heads. They dropped to the floor, nothing more but corpses.

"Damn it!" Zel'tumee cursed. These new enemies were smart. "Retreat! Back to the jungle! Go!" He ordered. The remaining Sangheili did as he commanded, including Drugo.

They ran deep into the jungle, then came ot a halt.
"By the Prophets, who the hell were those Humans!" One of the Sangheili asked. Zel'tumee looked towards him.
"They moved with incredible speed. Too fast to be human... what were they..?" He asked, as if to himself rather than the Sangheili. Drugo interrupted them.

"We have to report this to the Prophets." He said. Zel'tumee sighed, then nodded.

"Atleast this day wasn't a complete loss." He commented. Drugo nodded as well.

He was going to destroy those humans. Destroy them no matter what it took, no matter how much work. If he did that, the Prophets would be forever greatful, and Drugo would be forever a legend. More importantly, his honor would be restored.
