I was going through the game movies on the xbox dashboard and came across this. I could not help but noticing the ODSTness in it,powersuited super soilders, fighting aliens, drop from orbital drop ships, I don't know maybe its just me.

If you havent seen it already watch it discuss it.

Why does Bungie put us through such avid anticipation?

This has nothing to do with ODST.

I really want it. When is it coming out?

For one, there are no aliens in section 8 and no powersuited super soldiers in ODST.

Secondly, any further similarities are superficial. Sure, in both games you drop down from orbit at some point, but ODST does it to service the plot and provide a neat cutscene. Section 8 uses drops as a spawning solution, taking the FPS where it should have gone during the early days of next gen. To rationalize this you then have the move to "powersuited super soldiers," similar to the cheif, but taken in a greater direciton with significant gameplay alterning customization to further the dynamic nature of the game that spawn dropping establishes, diverging from Halo's more aesthetically oriented take on the same basic concept (which by no means is original to that franchise).

8-24-09, making it the perfect compliment to the campaign oriented ODST.

Isn't that trhe movie that was inspired by the failed Halo movie?

No, you're thinking of District 9.

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

That is District 9. Section 8 just looks a LOT like an ODST and a Spartan had an army of babies that turned into two opposing factions
