Subject: Time travel, but turned on its back?

I've noticed a lot of people exploring the idea of Master Chief going back in time and returning to the old Reach and many suggest similarities between the unknown Halo 3 ending planet and Reach.

I however suggest that the unknown planet is reach in the future and I'll explain why.

It seems that the unknown planet is more technologically advanced as it has an increased numebr of lights and therefore settlements on it, yet maintains the same ring shaped development patterns the humans used on the old Reach.

It is also said that tarvelling at the speed of light can propell you forwards in time, and I suppose for the forrunner portal to get a ship back to Earth from the Ark in an instant it would have to be lightspeed as slipspace still takes several months to cross a galaxy.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

There is no time travel.

The 2 planets are not the same.

Stupid theory is stupid.

My first thought was: At the tech point, anything is more technological than an uninhabited planet, which Reach was after it fell. There are only a couple of light ring shapes in the Reach trailer, but there are numerous just randomly placed light dots. Not on the Legendary Planet. If I recall, someone said that Reach was blown up with a Nova bomb, not entirely sure, I've read the books, but I don't remember it.

Second thought: Lightspeed is waaaaay slower than slipspace. The closest star to earth would take four years to reach, in lightspeed. A lightyear is a measurment of how many years it takes for the light to go from one place to another. So, no, the Ark portal doesn't send things in lightspeed. Also no, not forward in time, it makes time stand still for that which travel in the speed of light. This has been tested with two atom clocks and a plane.

The two clocks were equally set, one went on a trip in the high speed plane, and came back down. The clock which had been still, was ahead of the clock that went on a trip.

Why does everyone want the freaking Legendary Planet to be Reach? Just because it got similarities doesn't mean it's the same, not in the past, not in the future.
