Pretty self explanetory, do you think moving/crouching should effect weapon accuracy in halo:reach?
Of course, it would be a very minimal change, and not work for all of the weapons, (eg. The shotgun)

What do you think?

no.. this is halo..not call of duty

halo will stay halo.

90% of teens today would die if Myspace was completely destroyed. If you are one of the 10% that would be laughing, copy and paste this to your signature.

Why are there so many people that think If 1 thing is similar to COD then halo is cod?

he's not saying halo would be cod. when i play cod i would always be surprised at the crappy aiming system and would always think that halo does it better. what he's saying is that halo was awesome the way it was and the idea of doing that came from cod, so we don't want it to change.

  • 07.30.2009 7:21 AM PDT

i love how in halo you can be in mid air and still snipe, jump while sniping, and do all sorts of crazy st00f....thats y it is halo i'm really sick of everyone who wants to make call of halo its stupid

No thanks. Halo's controls are great because everything is smooth (no bobbing up and down when moving) and nothing shooting does not affect your aim (no expanding crosshairs).

Apparently your reading comprehension is not all there, I didn't say that it necessarily irritates me. It's just annoying.

Maybe because we want Halo to have some sort of realism? You don't -blam!- glide through the air when you run or crouch walk. Bioshock did the best crouch walking I've seen in a game. Your head actually bobs up and down when you crouch walk. Don't believe me? Go crouch walk; you're head will move, and your vision will bob. When you're running, the gun hardly moves at all. It should be like Bad Company or any of the Battlefield games. A mixture of Bioshock's "bobbing" vision with Battlefield's gun movement would make Halo: Reach awesome. The crosshairs should expand slightly, not like in CoD. It should expand slightly less than Bad Company's since you are a super-soldier(?).

Every second game?
halo 1 did not
halo 2 did not
halo 3 did not
halo 3: odst does not

do i make myself clear or am i hard to understand.. bungie will not change something that is perfectly fine. there is no need to copy other games when they have there original game.

halo is a simple UNrealistic fps. it will always be something that is simple to learn and pick up.

so halo: reach will not

Go back in time to when you were 6, enroll yourself in top-secret Spartan training and undergo the intense bio-chemical augmentations, put on some MJOLNIR Mk V armor and crouch walk. Tell me if your head bobs then. Otherwise realism isn't an issue for Halo.

Wow.... I didn't know that undergoing military training changed the way a person walks. It doesn't matter if you were in the military, you still walk the same. Sure your posture is different, but that doesn't change the fact that when you crouch walk, your head doesn't bob. I'm also sure that when fighting, the last thing on your mind is to keep your head from bobbing. Also, the MJOLNIR armor would make more of the bobbing effect since the armor just adds more bulk; thus, you have to compensate by moving your legs higher.

Voilà!In view,a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity,is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

Hmm, I thought all the minor details make a game (MLG Cheehwawa). Why not include this? Cheehwawa wants a speedometer, why can't we have simple realistic effects?

I also like how you avoided your original argument of the bio-chemical augmentations :) And you never got on about my proposition of an expanding crosshair :)

The MJOLNIR armor doesn't make the human form more streamlined :)

a speedometer would be aesthetic.. it would not effect gameplay in the slightest, unless you counted knowing what speed you needed to splatter someone. and trying to go through other forums to validate this was very low.

And correction, the speedometer would use the metric system, so it would indeed be possible to find out how easy it is to splatter people. Otherwise it wouldn't work.

In Halo your aim isn't affected by you moving. So an expanding cross hair is effectively, pointless.

I didn't go through other forums to validate anything. So I'm regulated to this thread only and am not able to look at other threads? I looked through every thread on the front page of the Halo: Reach forum (except the old ones) after coming from the Flood. I'm pretty sure that I didn't look at his speedometer thread just to validate my statement.... I like how you think you know me.

Edit: How would the bobbing effect affect gameplay? In Bioshock it doesn't. Like you said with the speedometer, it's just purely aesthetic.

i never said i knew you. this thread is about crosshairs not about a speedometer.

and if head bobbing was aesthetic it really couldnt bob.. because it would have to not affect gameplay.. aesthetic is just for looks like all the armor permutations in halo 3. if my head moved it could make someone miss a sniper shot. or i could have a moving screen.. both effect gameplay
