Hope not. I got so hyped for Halo 3 that, when I got it day one, I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't as epic as it should've been.

Do you consider yourself a phsychic? We don't know how Halo: Reach Campaign will be epic or not yet, I hope the marketing campaign for Halo: Reach will be as big as Halo 3's.

That's why you should never believe the hype. When games are hyped up the ass like Halo 3 was, then you should know that they're not going to live up to the hype.

Challenge Me

ROFL ,we mean marketing campaign, not single player.............

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Considering the teaser was out a full year ahead of the game, I'm pretty sure they will. I don't know if there will be as many tie-ins' (game fuel?) but I'm sure the advertising will be solid.

It's kind of a catch 22 though, because the more you advertise the higher the expectation. Considering how many people expect some rediculous things from games (like a game catering to their wants only) a huge advertising blitz can set a game up for failure.

A good example is the Halo3 "1st tv spot" if you got it from the marketplace, the one that starts with the two kids in the grass. Tell me that that video didn't give people all sorts for hopes for upcoming features. I watched it again the other day (cleaning off my HDD) and I would love if they could have something akin to the sprint MC pushed towards the end. I want Reach to be it's own game, not just another Halo.
