My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

It hit me how Firefight just MIGHT connect with the campaign in some way, and this might be the final mission, or final battle.

You link up with the entire squad. Everyone is just fine, and you have to defend a certain spot whilst Dare does something. Something she was sent by ONI to personaly deal with.

You fight amazing amounts of Covenant that are thrown at you. You have to hold them off for a certain amount of time.

Before the battle starts, you get to select which squad member you want to play as. They all start with their weapon of choice.

This is, as the title states, purely hypothetical, but I think it would be pretty cool. Especially if you add some of that ViDoc music in there!

Process stopping : Unable to give a damn, stopping

Process failed : Damn not given

However, there are five main characters, and only four player co-op.

Inserting a random Firefight encounter as the last level? I don't know, maybe not the way you put it. There's a line, cutting it close for me, in the difference between Campaign and Firefight maps. It reminds me of CoD4 and the level ripping.

Campaign should have interesting, intricate levels, not obvious arenas (for example, the ONI courtyard), IMO

...
But I would like to see a scenario with intense music and scores of enemy AI combatants.

Having an A.I ally would work.

Then again, this is probably not in the campaign, seeing how if one of your squad members die, then you would have to restart. Which would suck.

Epic things like the Halo 3: ODST ending should be linear, even if it is portraying full-scale combat (which I'm hoping it will).

That would very much suck...

How about you're put into a position where you have to fight alongside other UNSC? You know, Firefight except with an army behind your back?

Even if the campaign is riding a unicorn through the streets attempting to negotiate with the Covenant, at least there is enough action in Firefight to make up for the campaign ten times over.

IRON skull anyone? I don't think they would put in AI allies, unless if they revived after a while.

We're talking about the campaign ending, after all. Bring on the UNSC reinforcements!

The idea sounds fun, but an army of Marine allies? Marines in Halo 3 tend to... use quite a bit of ammo on me. Their aim, for lack of a better term, sucks.

Unless the ally A.I is revamped, I don't want that to be a possibility.

Adds to the drama of the situation. They could be partially scripted, I don't know, like background clockwork while the ODST's do their thing.

I'm sure their AI is probably a little better...it's about the numbers and their purpose in the ending. They could be rushing cannon fodder for all we care.

But with a nice soundtrack and some cool dialogue, it could be the best ending in all of the Halo games.

Agreed. The A.I actually has to be better. You are weaker than Mister Chief, so you're going to need some help from time to time.

Some combined AR fire and Brute distracting skills can go a long way, you know. The UNSC isn't totally useless...

It is funny to see the marines exchanging fire with Grunts, and such. Gives you a feeling tons of stuff is going on around you.
