I just wanted to know what were the Halo 2 ODST's called, were they ODST's withearlier armor, or an entirely different type of marine?
Just becasue nobody would answer this in the Halo 2 forums, i decided to ask in this forum.

They were still ODSTS. Make sense too because technically this game takes place during Halo 2.

I didn't blow up the sun so you kids could brag about it! Now get out there and fight some aliens!

They were always called ODST's.

On the blood of our fathers, on the blood of our sons.

They were called.. ODST.

Really your thinking WAY to deep into this, the armor between halo 2 - 3 doesn't really change enough like halo 1 to 2 to warrent a New name.

they could of been called recon

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

At the beginning of the Delta Halo mission they use the nickname 'Helljumpers' to describe them, but they are still ODST's.

Wasn't there a time people thought they were just australian Marines.

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised since the first ODST the Chief meets outside of the SOIEV speaks in a Aussie accent.

They were ODSTs, but were referred to in-game as "Helljumpers."

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

According to the book, there were ODSTs with you in Halo 1 as well. Only they looked like normal Marines.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

ODST's have been around since way long before the Human-Covenant War.

Orbital Drop Shock Troopers

Their also called Helljumpers becouse they drop feet first into hell, meaning, that they Hot drop in the middle of a combat zone, surrounded, but have reputation for still wining.

Halo Wars takes place 20 years before Halo 1 and there are ODST's

if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?
Black Tower

Helljumpers, as stated above.
And that name is more badass than ODST if'n you ask me :)
