if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?
Black Tower

Or was he lying to his squad?
new ViDoc (I'm sure most of us have seen this)
From E3 (I'm near positive all of us have seen this.)

In the E3 one, he says "Troopers, we are green and very, very mean!"
In the ViDoc: "And the FNG. The Rookie. Not exactly green, no ODST is..."
So which one is it?
I know it's not much, but just something I noticed.
:)

Green = A Colour, one used with Camoflauge.
Green = Also a form of newness, represented by how a new tree will be a gree little bud, standing in dirt.

Its just both different meanings are used.

I'm pretty sure that "we are green" means they have a green light to drop, hes not talking about the rookie.

I love you stosh.

Since i have a history with the real USMC, i'll tell you what it means.

Marines wear the color green. They have a saying that goes "We are lean mean green fighting machines!"

This is a shoutout to the real Marines. Good spot though.

Actually, green is the UNSC marine colour. ODSTs are just glorified Marines, so they are still "green". Also, "not exactly green" means he's not "ripe", or "perfect" for the job.

It's not Hip-Hop, its Electro.... prick.

"we are green and very very mean" -- He means they are have the green light to drop I think

""And the FNG, the rookie, not exactly green, no ODST is..." -- He means that he is a rookie but he isnt a bumbling idiot because he made it through the ODST training

Duracell.
I don't keep going and going and going and...
but i Start, and just don't Stop.

So what if the saxophone is black?
it has better tone the the gold one.
damn straight i play Jazz.

"we are green and very very mean!" means: we are Good to go. it is a catch phrase thing.

"not exactly green" means: not exactly inexperienced.

the green used in these two segments are have two very different meanings
