Does anyone even read these?

That cube...

  • 07.31.2009 6:37 PM PDT

Everybody wants change, but you don't know what you're changing into...

"Preferably one covering grammar and punctuation."

It should be something along the lines of: "We prefer if that book covers grammar and punctuation."

I couldn't help myself, even though I'm a bit late to the challenge.

Tank Beats Everything!

The cube is glorious, and I have figured it out. Take that Escher!

Next someone needs to do his Relativity (crazy stairs).

  • 07.31.2009 6:55 PM PDT

Psst. The incorrect sentence has a coordinating conjunction, and lacks the requisite preceding punctuation.

Yes. I just demonstrated it, though the bold comma is difficult to pick out.

I wish the sun would show us some love, it's rained every day this week in NC.

I miss playing Halo with my friends.

Seattle's only in the 80's!! I'm in the triple digits!!

Johnson's hands in one of those screenshots have white skin...with his head being dark...Fix this please?

  • 07.31.2009 7:45 PM PDT

Umm...I don't really know what to say. Been playing Halo since Halo 2 came out. My friends and I even make custom drinking games out of it on the weekends some times.

That paragraph should have been written...

In your new found spare time, may we suggest you read a book; preferably one covering grammar and punctuation. We strongly feel that this may be a wise and valuable investment of your resources. There will be extra credit awarded if you can identify the incomplete sentence in this paragraph and provide me with written corrections.

Just thought I'de throw that out there since he said to.

i figured out how the guy did that box!
on the top horizontil part that looks like it is going behind the back vertical part, on the right side they used a ramp huge( might be wrong with the name) and on the left a ramp large is used ( again could be wrong with the name) and then put the camera in a position to create the illusion of it going behind the verticle part.

As a local Seattle resident I coudn't agree more with this articles issue on the weather and AC. Our house has AC and freinds of mine and my family have glady been enjoying hanging out at our house. Also these pictures arer making me more excited to see ODST at PAX.

The ViDoc is awesome. I've already pre-ordered and ready to pick it up, but in the mean time I'm digging up any sort of press on the game I can.

Having a friend that is an english major is quite annoying at times, but it helped me to identify the sentence, "Preferably one covering spelling and grammar." as the incomplete sentence. It is missing a subject and no sentence is complete without one. An example of a complete sentence is "We recommend one covering spelling and grammar."

And I only got an A- in composition and argumentation. Ha!

I live in western washington too and my parents have a similar story. When they were first deciding to move out here they had already visited here twice and it was sunny almost all the time so they moved here under the impression that it never rains here. It actually does rain a lot and they found that out within the first month of moving in. A nice sunny day is a rarity but I will also say that the rain that does come here is not the thunderstorms that were described. Most of the rain is a very light drizzle and the summers do get a lot less rain than fall winter and spring (on a side note this past spring was particularly sunny for some reason).

spacebar

I read through all the comments, because I'd really like a link the map which that screen shot was taken. It's a good example of an impossible figure, and my professor loves it when people recreate them in a new medium. Lego is one of the more creative medium, but I think Halo is waay better :) PM me in you have a link !

PS. I noticed that most people don't read the comments. I saw everyone correct the Urk's error over and over... sometimes worse than the people before them. Before getting a grammar book, work on reading. That book won't be very useful otherwise...

Preferably one covering grammar and punctuation. You started the sentence with an incorrect word. You should have said "We would prefer" or something like that.

I understand you have little news today, so this is the first time I actually skip parts of a weekly update. Looking forward to ODST though!
