YES!

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

No. Mainly for two reasons.

1. I dont want to see the same map twice. It would be noncreative, and boring.

2. I want to see the blood gulch BAAAAWWWWers cry moar when Reach comes out and there isnt a remake of blood gulch, but a map that continued to evolve from Valhalla.

I voted yes, but i dont want it to be exactly the same as halo 1-2.

My honor student can beat up your honor student.

I would be fine with seeing Blood Gulch/Coagulation in Halo Reach, but with more cover in between the bases so spawn-sniping is harder to do, but not so much that the vehicle side of the map is toned down. But in my opinion I would rather see a Valhalla-esq map, you know, with water and a greener texture than BG, and with a larger valley and a lot more monuevering room for vehicles.

More then you will ever know.

It won't feel anything like blood gultch unless the vehicle to anti-vehicle balance for the game is like Halo CE. Everyone wants a blood gultch remake in Halo 3 for example, but very of them stop to think of what it would be like with Halo 3's weapon sandbox. A laser would completely destroy the map. But only a rocket launcher in the center would make a vehicular victory easy.

The only way I would like to see it is if they make it work, and frankly, its easy to reimagine the map into new variants we can fall in love with (Vahalla and Standoff, for example) than to recreate the same old thing over and over.

This, and the spartan laser ruins everything unless there is one for each team, and they either never re spawned, or had 180 second re spawn.

i said yes cuz outta any remake this would be the one with a great history... RvB i say they should make it just for fun

  • 08.11.2009 5:35 PM PDT

They should make it, but with minimal vehicles. It's called Blood Gulch for a reason.

i voted yes, but i would like to see them make it a new them, like maybe its on the ark, or something like that

  • 08.11.2009 5:43 PM PDT

i have only ever seen it in red vs blue and i don't have halo 2 or halo combat evolved but i would love to try blood gulch

  • 08.21.2009 4:48 PM PDT

Depends on the type of game. If its more like Halo 1, hell yes. If its more like Halo 2 and 3, hell no. If its a new subgenre that is large scale, then maybe (depending on player count).

I agree. I have a feeling Reach will have more of a H1 feel, so I'd love to see the port. And for the kid that said Valhalla is better than bg... Go play Halo 1 for 10 minutes and make that choice again.

  • 08.31.2009 2:12 PM PDT

No. Blood gulch is boring aesthetically and gameplay wise. Valhalla is way better in my opinion for both factors.

I wouldn't mind if they remade it.

Stick To Your Guns

yes definately. That and Relic from Halo 2. I hope they give us a good mix of new and remade classic maps.

honestly, in my opinion blood gulch was one of the best maps that halo ever had, but people are correct, with missle pods and lasers that map would be ruined, but still fun i think if regulated.

after reading a few other posts, im leaning more towards no. and an extension and rebuild of valhalla, if they made it longer between the bases, might be a better map

This isn't the case in a game set damn near 40 years before Halo 3.
