Ok, so I'll admit it, I prefer the PR over the AR in just about every situation ( I'll take the AR in the Library, but thats about it.) because of its accuarcy/ROF using small to med length bursts. It burns through shields faster than an AR and paralyzes your enemies. Ammo is usually plentifull enough to roll with it through entire levels, just stop by the Elite you just killed, and Violla! more ammo.

The major drawback of course is over heating, but with a little restraint and practice, this can be mostly avoided. Another thing I think people dislike about it is the sound it makes. Not so much that its bad, but that it dos'nt have that sasifyin' machine gun sound that makes you feel like mowing down every motherfugger in the room. But overall, it makes up for that in spades with its usefullness. How many times have you been killed in the Scorpion because someone with a PR is slowing you down from turning the turret? For me at least, lots.

So now its dual wieldable. SWEET. This opens up so many more applications for the PR.
This is just a quick list assuming they have'nt changed drasticly between H1 and H2.

1. Suppresion. Ok, with 2 PR, thats 200 rounds ( or bolts or whatever ) you have to spray at incoming vehicles, enemies. Burst firing between the two, alterating fire when they get hot, means you can unleash blue death without ever having to really slow down much, no reloading. You can keep someone pinned\slowed\weakend down while you team mates flank and kill.

2. Shield meltin'. As I mentioned earlier, PR digs right through shields, so being point man on MP or SP means you can concentrate on elimonating Jackal, Elite or MCs shields while a buddy mops em' up. Of course, a quick switch to a BR or smg will do the job nicely.

3. The Bustification Factor. The PR in H1 is great for wading through Grunts and taking them out.. In H2, I think they will be even better. Better than dual SMGs you ask? Well, I have'nt played it, so I dont know, but heres the reason I think it may be; no reloading, and with two PR, even if one does overheat, the other one can keep on chugin'. Stunning and slowing you enemy means they cant get that last grenade off before they go down.

What are your thoghts on the dual Pr

like i was talking about in another post. i think the plasma pistol + any projectile based weapon will be a killer combo. one charged shot to take out the shields than let loose with your projectile weapon.

THere's one problem according to Bungie to even things out both the guns will kick drastically so dont expect to be accurate. That and when I use a Plasma Rifle I knock out a enemie's shields then either I throw a greande or melee them but that wont be possible while dual wielding.

True, accuracy will be an issue. As far as I know, the accuracy offset is especially bad when firing both at once, but alternating fire can keep that down i think. And yes, not being able to smack the bastards will be a little bit of a drag, but I still think the upsides outwieght the down.

Walking Ghost is right!

i know bungie is trying to keep things fair with duel weilding like, you cant throw grenade or melee, but in reality you could still melee some one with two weapons, just swing it or whatever.

I don't think the accuracy for a plasma weapon should be effected because in the books the emphasize that plasma weapons were far more accurate and precise then ballistic weapons.

Besides, MC has superhuman strength so why should his accuracy lower with dual wielding, hes had years of practice and strength isnt a factor so why should his accuracy lose points. Realistically it wouldnt but i'd understand if bungie wanted to balance things.

"Help Help I'm being repressed! Come and see the Violence inherent in the system!"
"Bloody peasant!"
"Oh did you see that? you saw him repress me?"

yeah i agree. Also i swear that the accuracy only goes down if you fire both at once?

PP and a Pistol <if they didnt remove it> would've been pro! Shields, head shot! bang!

how do you know that you will be able to wield 2 plasma rifles? it IS a two handed weapon, although the elites only use one hand. you should wait for the game to come out before you make final judgements.

True, but as i said if Elites only use one hand, its not like their stronger then MC so why doesn't MC just use one hand...hmmm maybe cuz hes trying to keep the weapon steady while Elites just have a sloppy shot or something? If u dual weild PR's then accuracy might be affected, i never really knew MC used both hands anyway, how can you tell ?

You could dual wield them at E3 2004.

I have a video of a guy using a Plama Rifle and a SMG. Here is a link to videos of E3. I think the video you want is Halo2_flag_guarding.AVI (right click, save as).
