Ok, so I'll admit it, I prefer the PR over the AR in just about every situation ( I'll take the AR in the Library, but thats about it.) because of its accuarcy/ROF using small to med length bursts. It burns through shields faster than an AR and paralyzes your enemies. Ammo is usually plentifull enough to roll with it through entire levels, just stop by the Elite you just killed, and Violla! more ammo.
The major drawback of course is over heating, but with a little restraint and practice, this can be mostly avoided. Another thing I think people dislike about it is the sound it makes. Not so much that its bad, but that it dos'nt have that sasifyin' machine gun sound that makes you feel like mowing down every motherfugger in the room. But overall, it makes up for that in spades with its usefullness. How many times have you been killed in the Scorpion because someone with a PR is slowing you down from turning the turret? For me at least, lots.
So now its dual wieldable. SWEET. This opens up so many more applications for the PR.
This is just a quick list assuming they have'nt changed drasticly between H1 and H2.
1. Suppresion. Ok, with 2 PR, thats 200 rounds ( or bolts or whatever ) you have to spray at incoming vehicles, enemies. Burst firing between the two, alterating fire when they get hot, means you can unleash blue death without ever having to really slow down much, no reloading. You can keep someone pinned\slowed\weakend down while you team mates flank and kill.
2. Shield meltin'. As I mentioned earlier, PR digs right through shields, so being point man on MP or SP means you can concentrate on elimonating Jackal, Elite or MCs shields while a buddy mops em' up. Of course, a quick switch to a BR or smg will do the job nicely.
3. The Bustification Factor. The PR in H1 is great for wading through Grunts and taking them out.. In H2, I think they will be even better. Better than dual SMGs you ask? Well, I have'nt played it, so I dont know, but heres the reason I think it may be; no reloading, and with two PR, even if one does overheat, the other one can keep on chugin'. Stunning and slowing you enemy means they cant get that last grenade off before they go down.
What are your thoghts on the dual Pr
