Are we going to have to wait til E3 next year to hear anything at all about this game? I know they dont want to interfere with ODST's release (which makes sense), but is this how its going to be now?

E3: show new info on new game, and then a trailer for the next game (i.e. Bungies new IP) ?

Just seems like a looooong wait. Another year to hear anything else about Reach. And then another year to hear anything about the new IP. And then another year before the new IP is released..

?

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

I really doubt we'll have to wait that long considering it would make the most sense for the beta to be open to the public around late May or early June. We'll probably start getting some real information a bit after the release of ODST, a gameplay trailer for E3, and some new info on Bungie Day.

Bungie day is a year away...

My old Bungie.net account was created February 6, 2008. Unfortunately, I had signed up using my brother's email account (we then shared an Xbox Live account which was linked to my old Bungie.net account), and he changed the password, meaning I couldn't log in. Thus is why I have this account.

They will probably release a bit of info on September 25th like they did with ODST. Then on Bungie day, probably more information.

They will probably talk about the multiplayer aspect of the game first like they did with Halo 3.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

It mostly depends on when the Beta is. For Halo 3, which was released 9/25/07, the Beta was active until Early June, 3 months prior to the release. THere's a good chance that the Reach Beta will be active around may or so, and follow a similar trend.

Otherwise, I'm sure Microsoft and Bungie will want to keep details under-wraps. We may get teasers now and then, but it's not too likely.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Once we have ODST the wait will be bearable.

They'll probably be silent on it until after ODST ships and then within 1-2 months they'll probably have a OXM, Gameinformer, or whatever with a Reach exclusive which will detail the beta and give us our first screens.

I'm sure we'll know some stuff on it by very early 2010

-blam!- the Free World!!!!

I agree with you, Bungie gave us a trailer and a banner and shoved us out the door. I've been waiting for something to chew on and probably won't get it 'till late fall or early winter and that might not even be much...
