The way to live life is decided by the individual.

Pre-ordered the special edition and will be waiting for it at midnight. I also asked for the 22nd off just to play it.

Huzzah!

seriously!! how much will us brits be getting it for?
£35, but in the US the prices make it £45 if we were to follow the pricing.

So we effectively get it for £10 less.

Huzzah!

Huzzah indeed my friend, I do feel sorry for our colonial cousins sometimes, they often get the crappy end of the stick don't they?

and as we Canadians get it for $60 Canadian(if you are paying $70 go look around EB in Calgary, everyone of them, is selling it for $60) that means we are effectively getting it for $55 american.... not as good as your 10 pounds sterling... but still better than what they are getting
only because they separated from you by violent means.... there are always better ways to do things! like us Canadians. We solve our issues without war if we can help it

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

Can we just stop with the price threads, there's already one huge discussion out there. Use that one.

If you are NOT going to buy ODST the moment it comes out or even not at all, then simply post here with your thoughts on ODST and its, if you ask me, generous price considering the success of H3.

generous price? are you serious?

wow.

"Find The Bomb?!
Find The Bomb?!
I'm Looking For The Flag!
What The Heck Is Assualt!?"

Ok, I'm leaving my name

That's Buggy Virus, with two Gs

I have a fake gamertag so don't tell anyone, but (my real one is Colonelforbin27)

And GENERALLY I don't think ODST is worth $40, I believe that should it be aptly priced for what it represents it should be at most $30.

Why?
Simply it is the same game engine as halo three with nothing new other than health and two weapons, yippee. So I don't exactly see the point.

Also the largest part of halo 3 is the multiplayer, where it was has to be about five sixths of the game experience if one ones live and so if I already have the multiplayer experience a new ok campaign isn't going to persuade me to jump through any hoops.

If I ever do play it, it will probably be my friend and me borrowing it

you also get firefight and the halo reach beta also all halo 3 maps and 3 new ones, so you can suck our balls while we play ODST!!!!

How many times do I have to tell people? The Halo Reach beta shouldn't be counted in the pricing, because betas are usually free (Halo 3, CoD WaW, Windows 7, 1 vs 100). So if anything you're making it sound like a bad thing, and Microsoft are charging for a beta.

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

I don't think anyone is going to get on here and disgrace themselves and say they are not getting ODST. Even if they said they weren't getting it in another thread, i'll bet 99.9999% of the people who have gotten on the forums will get the game.

Hmmmmm....this is probably the exact reason they set the price at $60 dollars.

firefight is a game mode. a single game mode shouldn't weigh that heavily on the price.
the beta is free.
we already bought the Halo 3 multiplayer and some of us have already bought all of the map packs(excluding mythic part 2, of course)
