I'm pretty sure Bungie said that Installing the ODST disc to your HDD would have no problem with loading times. And that it is perfectly alright to do so.

(please correct me if i'm wrong)

I believe this function will work the same with ODST. You should be able to install it to your HDD.

Also, if you only install the first disc, it wont be a huge disc. It only consits of the Campaign, Fire Fight, and Theater. My guess is that it will be around 3 GB, but that's just a guess...

Are there any advantages of installing a game to your HDD?

Why do people constantly think this is just an expansion? It's a full -blam!- game!

No. Bungie have made it abundantly clear the ODST is a Standalone Expansion.

Well faster loading times (sometimes) and less noisy Xbox. All at the cost of say 6 and a half GB.

It WAS an expansion but it's bigger than Halo 3 now.

The disc doesn't spin when playing which makes it quiet and more prone to scratching. It also loads content from the disc faster.

*sighs* It is an expansion, Bungie has stated it themselves multiple times. Yes, it is $60 dollars and can be considered a "full game", the ODST Campaign and Fire Fight is merely an expanion and prequel to Halo 3.

The other disc is just Halo 3 with new maps.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

It can be installed to the hard drive that's a 360 function, nothing to with the games.

Be sure not to download the other disk though; the one with the H3 Multiplayer on it.

I thought they would be able to fix the problem for that disc. :/

Of course they could have, but that doesn't mean that everyone else who is playing on the actual Halo 3 game will have it fixed for them. The problem still exists for the Halo 3 Multiplayer, but not for the ODST Campaign, and Firefight.

I remember reading that the problem was that the coding was lying too deep within the disc, seeing how it's a new disc (sorta) it would of been fixed for the disc.

I thought the problem layed how it was coded into the disc, seeing how I know nothing of this stuff I can't support my points. :P
